“I have to agree that the Patriots are getting healthy and regaining their Superbowl form. I think the NFL would also prefer to see the Patriots versus the Seahawks in the Superbowl. The prospect of a small market team like Indy that plays in a dome isn't going to do well with the tv ratings. The Patriots going for a three-peat would be more compelling and draw more viewers than an arena-league style team such as the Colts.

“I think the NFL would rather see the Colts go into the playoffs undefeated and chasing football immortality. An undefeated Colts team playing in the super bowl would be a much bigger draw than the Patriots going for a third super bowl. A Patriots three-peat wouldn’t generate much excitement outside of New England. I think the dream super bowl the NFL would want to see is an undefeated Colts team going against the Giants. A Manning vs. Manning super bowl one Manning trying to achieve football immortality and the other Manning trying to prevent it. The NFLs worst nightmare would be something like a Cincinnati vs. Carolina super bowl.

Today the Seahawks finally proved they can win a "morning" game on the east coast. May not seem like an important win to to those on the east coast, but you have to understand Seahawk history with east coast games that start at 10 am west coast time.

I suggest you go look at the stats for that game. Seattle was outplayed at home in just about every category and it was the Giants who had all the problems with the Zebras. The Giants beat themselves Seattle didn't beat anyone that day. Today Seattle proved they could barely beat a 4-9 team. LOL!”

“the country is bored with the patriots. a team like the colts, who have been so close, yet so far, for so long, is much more exciting. if the colts win the superbowl (very good possibility), and manning wins his 3rd consecutive regular season mvp (very good possibility), he will be widely considered to be in the same league as montana, marino, elway, and all the other all-time greats. he probably should anyway, because marino never won the superbowl, and elway didnt do it until his final two years, well after his peak years. and im pretty sure that neither of those guys were saddled with such a porous (until this year) defense for so long
