Bite your tongue! I only think about them in the rarest of instances! Like the planets aligning, the Steelers have a bi week and Cleveland actually trying to win a game!

“This week it is the Giants again. Last year the Vikes were 6-0. We played the Giants in the Dome (like this year) and they lost (28-17)and the Owner Red McCombs said the team embarrassed themselves. The team then only won 3 out the next 10 games. This weekend we will find out if it will be De J ue or if the Vikes have actually improved. So Snake Eyes, keep at least one eye open this weekend. We will know if the Vikes are contenders or pretenders. If they are pretenders they are still the Vikes and I will still cheer them on, even if it is from Southern California in my living room.

One other note: Yes the Vikes defense played much better this weekend. And Yes Steve McNair did not play. However, last year it did not matter who played. If they were breathing they could complete passes against the D. At least this year they can stop the Back- Ups...”

Did you double jinx the Vikes by stating aloud their bad luck against the Giants? I didn't get to catch the game live this weekend, but man. That final score makes me shudder.”

Still, as Nigal says - the Pats can't be dismissed as "over-rated" the odds of even your average play-off team winning 22 in a row are too small to take seriously.”

I watch the entire game. Once again our beloved Vikes have demostrated to us that you still need defense. (The offense played poorly) If it were not for the mercy of the Giants players and coaches it would have been much worse. At one time it was 34 to 0. And they could have kicked a field goal, but chose to punt while just outside the red zone.
But they are the Vikes and we Viking fans are use to this sort of thing. (after all we do not actually coach or play the game) (I found it interesting that the fans in the stands only boo'd the Vikes once, just before Half Time)(What do you think that means) They are still a little above average team. But not a Great team. They are missing Moss of course. And next Monday night they will be at Indy to play the Colts, (who lost to the Chiefs) On the plus side, being a Vikes fan can be a great benefit if used productively. After the game, I installed a Pur Water filter on my tap faucet in the kitchen. Washed and clean my Rubicon, inside and outside, including under the Hood. Got a great workout, the Treadmill was going just a little faster and the Weight machine had just a few more pounds on it. And the intensity was just a little higher. Then it was time to hand out the candy to the little kiddies. I saw parts of the Steelers and Bronco's game, poor Broncos and the Steelers looked great. Ben is playing extremely well for a Rookie, heck , he is playing as well as some of the Veterans. Chiefs scored 101 points or so in 2 games. Eagles are still undefeated, but play Ben and the Steelers next week, I believe. Titans win, Texans are better than most think, Chargers are playing well, but alas they are pretenders too. The Boys beat the Lions, who are much improved. And there is one thing for sure. The NFL is truly good entertainment.”
