“I tuned in to Rush yesterday just in time to hear him address the ‘hypocrite’ issue.

He said that some people, including a prank caller, had asked if he weren’t a hypocrite for calling for harsh sentences for people who break drug laws then breaking them himself.

If I hadn’t heard it, I wouldn’t have believed it. He actually said that he wasn’t a hypocrite because, although he had moral failings, he never changed his view of what is right and wrong. He then went into a spiel about a liberal conspiracy to get him and reminded everyone that Bill Clinton had made mistakes too.

He totally deflected the ‘hypocrite’ issue even though he said he was going to tackle it head on.

I think he still has a way to go in his recovery.
