It was to support another koi club's show, meet and greet, crap like that...all in all it was fun, but we were planning on being back by 5 pm, not leaving a little after 5 pm. Oh well. One of the koi breeders we know GAVE Laurel the fish she wanted. Oy. She was overclocking the cuteness factor for a while there. Looks like it worked. It's a metallic white koi, with high pearlescent marks on its scales. Looks like it may have a black tancho (spot on the head) at some point, though. Maybe the mark will go away. Won't know until it grows up. Koi are a good way to learn patience; some of these things don't "finish" their colors and markings until they are 4 or 5 years. Some longer. I like watching them develop, HPM and Laurel, not so much. I made some very good French toast this morning. I like it better when the bread soaks in the egg for a while, rather than coating it. I mixed a few shakes of cinnamon into the eggs too. Yum. Too bad I forgot to start the coffee though. It just finished. It got down to 38 here last night. I forgot to bring in the turmeric plant and my lemon tree. Oops. Guess I'll de-bug them and find a home for them today. HPM is trying to get HIS new plasma tv going. ;P The only thing I miss watching is the morning news. That's about it. Everything is going pretty well here, and I'm staring down that root canal tomorrow afternoon. That'll be a whole load of fun there. I just can't wait to get this broken molar taken care of.
