Yep. I think I'd feel more alive with another cup of coffee.

Just helped load all Birch's gear into my little car so he could go drop it off today. I think I pulled my back helping to carry the foot locker. The man must have forty pounds of books in there! Next on the agenda is a 3 miler w/ the dogs, baking cookies, write a letter and do laundry laundry LAUNDRY! And lastly, make a scrumptious chicken casserole for dinner. It's a beautiful day but I'm going to spend most of it inside.

Good morning, It's gloomy out today and looks like rain. I sold my motorcycle Friday night to the first person that looked at it. It was only advertised for one day so that was fast. I had mixed feelings about getting rid of it, but I can think of more reasons for not having it especially since I wasn't riding it. I'm toying around with the idea of getting a road bicycle. I never had a good road bike.

I caught a bunch of trout on Saturday and had probably the best day of fishing yet this season. Hopefully, they'll be more days like that.

The caserole sounds yummy. My dad always use to say that a caserole was everything you're going to eat for dinner cooked in one dish.

Argh, I just remembered I have to make a dish and dress up nicely for a mother/daughter dinner with the GSA troop tonight. Dang, I really didn't want to do this. I think the fruit salad with just a titch of maple syrup and cinnamon goes well for something like this.

The coffee tasted hideous this morning. It was a brand new bag, too. Very bitter, completely undrinkable. Thank goodness for the red bull stash. That, sipped, with a water chaser.

It's gray and rainy here today. The cool front passing over us stalled. I don't mind, we need the rain. The bazillion frogs are singing their little hearts out, too.

I wish I had a garden at home :-(

Casabalnca is surprisingly green. Every larger road, avenue or boulevard is planted with long rows of palm trees along one or both sides. Dividers in the middle of the roads are often planted with flowers. Even the smallest patch of garden behind the houses has a few shrubs or trees. Amazingly they plant hedges of hibiscus, which grow higher than me and are in full bloom with large red blossoms. I only know hibiscus as a small pot plant for indoors.

Oh no, just got sick on my last day.
Last night I threw in another Imodium, because my guts started acting up a bit again. A few minutes ago I started feeling sort of funny. Got up to go to the toilet. Started sprinting the last couple of meters and almost run down the front desk lady when turning the curve. Made it to the toilet and threw up. Front desk lady called her colleague, who called her other colleague and I had three ladies talking to me in french and arabic and fussing about me, trying to make me drink a tea.

I just spent the last couple of hours outside cleaning out the koi filtration, including all the nooks and crannies that only get hit a few times a year. All the plants and trees down the hill are getting a major dose of organic fertilizer right now.

I pulled out 2 cubic feet of oak tree catkins from the skimmer and other filtration points. Yikes. No wonder the water turned tea brown. I'm amazed the water isn't highly acidic from all that crap. It's all fallen within the last week, too.

Good morning! Divinity, that is great news!

Poor Birch had to get up at 4am to drive his mom to the airport. Her sister had a massive stroke. She's going to miss the going away ceremony now so they had to say goodbye.

Abby's skipping school today and we're headed to the Zoo. =) Gonna feed a baby giraffe.

Good for you and Lee Div1 It seems that my parents are having some sort of contest to see which one of them can fall apart fastest. My dad had a tough surgery last month that was 50/50 chances of not coming through. And now my mother had vascular surgery to open up circulation in her left leg which is at 0% circulation now. They weren't able to do anything so now she's facing amputation. Everything will be great though and we will all adapt to it.

Me? I'm being put out on the ice flow when I turn 55.

The weather today seems fitting; it's all breezy and spitting rain. Birch had his last full day w/ us yesterday. He'll get to come home to eat and sleep tonight and tomorrow night, then we have a few hours with him on Monday and that is it. We went and bought fixins for his last meal at home yesterday. He's got three huge Delmonicos (with blue cheeses butter), fingerling potatoes, corn on the cob and asparagus AND a cheesecake.

I'm not going to lie, this just sucks.

It's chilli and windy here and is kind of looking like it could go either way real fast.

Ended up at the hospital half the night last night with Mom. Yesterday I had to race over there because her bad leg went numb on her while she was on the toilet and my poor dad wasn't strong enough or confident enough to get her up and back to bed. They were both humiliated for their own reasons so I made sure to make some good jokes and keep it "no big deal".

Then last night my dad called the squad because Mom's BP dumped to 74/39 with pulse of 48. Mom is just aggravated by it but all this is just killing my dad.

I WAS going to tend to the gardening at my in-laws today, but there's a female, skin and bones pit bull roaming around there. I had Laurel with me, so as soon as I saw the dog I threw Laurel back in the car. The dog was not aggressive at all, but sat at my feet waiting for food and water. I've searched the classifieds and various online sources, but no one has mentioned a dog with her distinctive markings. She ignored all the cars whizzing by, the neighbors' barking dogs, and the guinea hen raising a ruckus about 40 feet away. She didn't view the bird as prey at all. She just wanted to stay close to me. I tried calling animal control. Charlotte AC sucks rocks. I had to leave a message on their answering machine. She looks young, but pretty rough. Argh.

There's way too many dog "events" going on here.

Sass, we ended up replacing ours a few weeks ago. We hoped it would die, but it just kept cooling right along. :)

Oh, I'm just in a yucky mood tonight. I have nothing else positive to say. Its not helping that G's team lost their first game tonight 11-1, and his seniors decided to skip school today and couldn't play. As crabby as I am tonight, I think G's mood is worse right now. Hopefully I'll be asleep before he gets home.
