I certainly have a guardian angel! Ended up in a ditch this morning on my way to work. My car, however, wasn't so lucky. I snapped a metal pole of a traffic sign, and that ripped my entire bumper off. My headlight was dangling by the electrical cord. I am VERY lucky I'm OK, and I didn't hurt anyone else. We'll get a rental car tomorrow, and somehow work out the logistics of getting E to daycare and both of us to work on time tomorrow. Small inconvenience, but at least I'm OK. Thank GOD I didn't have Evie with me. Ug. On my way back to work, the freeways were pure ice. It sucked. And I might get docked time I missed at our professional development day. Totally stinks. LOL” 6:16:58 AM 1/31/09 “Good morning, It's cold out this morning at 11 degrees, but at least the sun is out. I started injecting real food down my feeding tube. So far just soup and fruit smoothies. I still use the canned formula, but less of it. My digestive system wasn't too happy with supplements only so it's time to start. They gave me this mixture to use which is liquid protein and it's disgusting. It's supposed to improve healing and it's beef collagen mixed with different acids and a tropical fruit flavor. It's gross and even worse, it's not meant only for feeding tubes, but to drink as it is. blech! It says to only use 4 oz, at a time, but the stuff repeats and sends such a horrible after taste up my throat, I can't use it.
