We were soaked and the trails turned into streams. I picked some blueberries and blackberries over the weekend too and the blueberry crop looks good this year. Yesterday, after 3 to 4 months of effort, I finally got my youngest daughter's car in my name. Then I was stopped by police before I could get home to put the correct plate on the rear of the car. The officer was a hard-ass and gave me a real hard time, threatening me with a $100 ticket. He gave me one hour to get the correct plate on the car! I almost invited him to our jujutsu class that evening so that I could see what one of "Florida's finest" could do! However, I knew that such effort would only gain me a ticket. He was guilty of relentlessly harassing and threatening a senior, disabled citizen. As soon as he had observed the wheelchair on my replacement license plate and checked my age on the driver's license, he was well aware of my condition. And I told him that I was just returning home from the license bureau, but he carried on and on. BTW, the car is a hybrid and gets 40 to 45 miles per gallon.” 6:24:18 AM 7/29/08 “I had two plates showing on the rear of the vehicle. There was a Massachusetts plate on the rear bumper(and another one on the front bumper). I could not see taking it off until I had a replacement for it. Actually, it was still valid until a week ago, and it's expiration was not until October. And in the rear window I had a temporary, cardboard, Florida plate. It was not weather-proof and not made for outside placement.
