If I knew how to upload pics to G's computer, I'd show you the snow. Its CRAZY. I don't remember having this much snow in a long, long time, no exaggeration. Just paid some guy to plow us out of our short, city driveway. G and I were out there 30 minutes and had only made it halfway down. He's down at the neighbors house helping them shovel now.

Thanks for the well wishes. I took some immodium finally, and that seems to have plugged things up for now.

school was cancelled again today, man those poor kids will be in school all summer! I wish I was home playin' in it...

I found out this week that I have been a bad mommy to my lizards...one died and another started looking the same way, so I took her to the vet...she's impacted, poor thing. My fault because they were too little to be on sand, but I did it anyway, since the first lizard we got did fine. Thinking back on it, Romeo was a little more robust when we got her and probably better able to pass the sand. She is fat and sassy.

As I feed little Aliana by hand, I remind her that she's just a little $15 lizard...LOL...

True Spirit Coyote, I did read that. But supposedly there was this new sand made by T-Rex that is fine enough for them...and Romeo was fine...but I absolutely take the blame since I shouldn't have taken a chance. (even though I didn't know I was)

I separated them to keep a better eye on Aliana, and switched them both over to the green mats. You should have seen Romeo! She isn't having any of it. She walked on it, sniffed it all over, then climbed on a rock and wouldn't come down. She kept looking at it, and tried walking on the sides of the tank...finally I had to put sand on it and she came down.

I switched Aliana over to paper towel, not taking any more chances.

LOL, Stovie...I have added mineral oil to her diet, and was already giving her a lizard supplement for it.

The vet calls me every day to see how she's doing. Impaction is usually fatal - but as long as what is going in comes out the other end, there's hope for the little girl.

I know, seems weird that they live on sand in the wild, but living in captivity is a whole different ball game.

I just read that Geckos in the wild don't live on sand. It said they live on very arid and hard packed dirt so if they eat that they can pass it just as dust. The man made sand has sharp edges that is harmful to them. Even things like calci-sand that are supposed to be safe really aren't. I thought they lived on sand in the wild as well, but I guess they don't.

The espresso machine, Gaggia Baby Twin, arrived yesterday and, guess what, I came home yesterday due to work slowage...it is either a very complicated machine or I was tired because I could not produce a decent espresso yesterday...this morning I decided to try the espresso coffee sent with the machine and lo, that was the problem! I am now enjoying a really, really seriously strong espresso which I need this morning...after all, it's Friday and it's 3:30AM!

Since the temps are dropping into the sub-zeros this week-end, I don't think I'll be out in my hammock...

So all you sleepy-heads...

Good morning.

It's been raining in Paradise, an off and on type of rain. No bicycle for me this morning; I drove to the Resource Cafe.

I've been up for two hours. For some unknown reason, my "Real Player" did not want to work this morning. It looks like a "Computer Hacker" enjoys playing games in my home computer.

Have a nice day and an ejoyable weekend.

Headed for 25 below tomorrow. We've had a nice break with temps in the 20's, so I can't complain. All the big snow went somewhere else. I've only used my tractor once this winter.

Rather strange that I didn't make my coffe first thing when getting up this morning. That never happens. Subconsciously I must have been waiting for Mata to deliver espresso:)

Good morning, it'll be cloudy all day, but at least no rain. We've had enough and it resulted in flooding in some areas.

Morning all. Better be careful, looks like pregnancy is contagious around here.

Off to the home despot for pond plumbing supplies. Yay, I get to play with pvc this weekend.

It's supposed to be a high of 60 today (gloriously sunny already) 64 tomorrow and 50 if we're lucky on sunday.

A Mexicano construction crew a few lots up the road is burning woods scraps to stay warm this morning (currently 28) and that includes pressure-treated wood in the bunch. Pew.

Colder than cold here. Didn't take the babe to church, -25 wind chills is too cold for a little baby! And too cold for me! SUre is sunny for a change, though.

I start school tomorrow - YEA! I'm already grading tests from last week when I wasn't there, and I haven't even gotten paid yet. What's with that???

G is already off to baseball today - hitting and throwing practice in the gym. E is napping, but I suspect she'll be up soon.

Enjoy your Sunday.

Good morning! - 15 below outside and windy when I woke up around 6:30 this morning...that makes it feel like -40...kinda nippy...hope those folks winter camping in Newport SP, WI, stay warm!

Bill found out the price of my new espresso machine and spent most of the day laughing at paying such a price for a coffee maker...however, he admits being very impressed at the quality of the espresso it produces...

Cat is going crazy running around the house...drunk Bill was asleep on the floor behind my computer chair in front of the furnace when I first got up...

I threw a blanket over him and he got quite irritated at me when he woke up...said the blanket was blocking the heat from the furnace hitting his back...a couple hours later he crawled to bed and is now creating a beer, bio-hazard zone in the bedroom along with house-shaking snores...at least he's out of my way...life good

-25F, but the wicked weekend wind (no, not flatulence) is gone. The average February temp is about 50 degrees warmer than this, so we should get some +50 days for things to even out:) Gotta force myself to go outside and haul in some firewood.

Back to taxes this morning. It's so complex this year that I'm being scrupulously honest in case I should have to prove anything. Chappy can I have a receipt for that $5,999 church contribution? Lol.

I'd rather go back to bed. Just spent more $ at home despot, on clamps. We don't have the pond membrane fastened down yet, so a 400 pound piece of rubber was trying to make like a parasail yesterday afternoon. Not much fun. So, I got a bunch of clamps to hold it down around the perimeter.

Good morning, it's 6 degrees outside and a snow storm is coming tomorrow. Just 2 to 6 inches of snow are forecast and we didn't have much this year. Not a good year for snowshoeing and cross country skiing around here so far.

the sand was too much for the two new little ones, and one died...the other is doing better now that she's off the sand and I'm feeding her. Good morning, we might get six inches of snow today before it switches over to freezing rain. Seems like each storm we get always turns into freezing rain. I'm getting a port installed today so I don't have to get stuck with anymore needles. I just want to get it over with and get home.

With a little luck I should be able to finish the taxes today. This year it's so complex that I haven't a clue whether I'll be paying or getting a refund. Looks like I'll have to learn about tax shelters for the current year.

Daylight is just wresting control away from the darkness and I see no partridges in my bushes. There may not be any left:)
