Probably one of our coldest mornings yet. I'm heading out to the eye doctor this morning and almost forgot I had an appointment today.” 5:11:20 AM 1/21/08 “It's 17 degrees warmer today than it was this time yesterday! It's 0F right now...yeah! a warm up! Coffee...I...must...have...coffee!” 5:14:33 AM 1/21/08 “good morning. it was good last night but I was kept warm by dreams of the Giants going to AZ (so sorry mata) and starting job tomorrow. going out to by scrubs today :D” 5:31:28 AM 1/21/08 “Morning all. 0F this morning and it isn't going to get above freezing all week. Finally the lakes will start to make ice again. Well back to work for me.” 5:34:43 AM 1/21/08 “Good afternoon. We got our new elliptical in and installed. Its big but not as big as we thought. Works well, too. It was 11 degrees F. here around 8 am this morning. Yikes. Yes, we got the weather monitoring station HPM got me for Christmas installed finally. Its cool.” 12:12:21 PM 1/21/08 “Urgh, I'm catching another cold. Laurel keeps bringing these damned viruses home from school. Speaking of which I have a parent teacher conference to go to in 20 minutes. Ugh. TIme to go warm up the car.” 4:20:48 AM 1/22/08 “It's about 20 degrees warmer this morning. I saw something cool yesterday. I normally don't do much residential work but an architect I've worked with before asked if we could look at something for a friend. It's about a 40 year old house, then center is an octatagon and it has wings on 4 sides. The center octagon is probably 60' across with no columns. It's built like a dome. The problem is that it was built with an extremely (2:12) flat pitch and there doesn't appear to be a tension ring to keep the thing from spreading. It's badly sagging. A column was installed in the early 80's after a tornado hit, but was later removed at the direction of a SE. The whole thing is pretty dang cool, but the structure just doesn't look like it works to me. I'm pretty surprised it hasn't collapsed to tell the truth. Dang cool building though last edited: 1/22/08 4:43:44 AM” 4:40:30 AM 1/22/08 “good morning! more snow here. dentist appointments today and work. I'd like to snuggle back up in bed! Have a good one all.” 4:55:01 AM 1/22/08 “Good morning, it't still cold here and 19 out, but the sun is out so it looks like it'll be a nice day. Snow is coming for tonight, but only an inch. It seems like we just can't get a decent snowstorm this year. I went to the eye doctor yesterday and he put me on some eye drops for pink eye. So far they are working. I never had pink eye before and I don't know where I got it.” 4:55:29 AM 1/22/08 “Still dark here and zero degrees. Warmer than it has been in some time. No plans for today, but I'll get into sumpin'.” 5:05:57 AM 1/22/08 “I got pink eye this summer for the first time. You'll be over it within a day or so of those drops.” 5:06:54 AM 1/22/08 Hugs. “Good morning. You ain't anyone around here until you've had a thread pulled. They hit me yesterday, but it had lasted over 24 hours. I bet they pull the plug quicker on my next one. They're going to be watching for me! I finally made someone's list! Have a great day.” 5:11:46 AM 1/22/08 “Heat wave here this morning! 3 degrees, wind chill -6. Have a wonderful day to you all :)” 5:12:20 AM 1/22/08 “You renegade you!” 5:40:09 AM 1/22/08 “Know what cures pink eye? Breastmilk! Just ask someone for a squirt.” 5:50:22 AM 1/22/08 “If it's breast milk, why ask for a "squirt"?” 5:51:23 AM 1/22/08 “I guess that's the natural cure. So far the eye drops are working.” 5:52:00 AM 1/22/08 “B/c you're supposed to squirt it in your eyeball. Ohhh well, I guess that's the boring way to do it, RichB. ;-) Glad they're working though!” 5:56:04 AM 1/22/08 “I meant "Squirt", the pop (or soda to you southerners):)” 6:01:18 AM 1/22/08 “I haven't seen Squirt sold in many places in the South, Nimblefoot.” 6:10:55 AM 1/22/08 “I ain't never heard of such a thing! Sounds...delicious?” 6:13:14 AM 1/22/08 “It's a citrus-flavored soda, more grapefruit than anything else. I loved the stuff, back when I drank a lot of sodas.” 6:14:56 AM 1/22/08 “I meant "Squirt", the pop (or soda to you southerners):)” Nimblefoot 8:01:18 AM 1/22/08 It wouldn't be a soda in the South. It would be a coke. You wanna coke? Sure. What kind? A Squirt.” 6:17:08 AM 1/22/08 “Ugh, it's -19 F at Old Faithful right now. That's cold.” 7:16:06 AM 1/22/08 “Mornin' It's a cold 68 degrees on the Gulf Coast.” 7:17:56 AM 1/22/08 “Oh yeah, that's real cold. :P” 7:36:05 AM 1/22/08 “its nasty out there. Had to jump start my truck in the cold rain, then walk the dogs. Now they're playin in the back yard and I'm gonna have to hose 'em off.” 7:43:16 AM 1/22/08 “It did get down to 20 this weekend in Hattiesburg, MS. Snow fell for a few minutes, didn't stick. I have not seen the "Squirt" soft drink in years. I couldn't stand it as a kid. I would probably love it now. last edited: 1/22/08 7:50:38 AM” 7:47:29 AM 1/22/08 “What up Stovie?” 7:47:58 AM 1/22/08 “I'm just waiting till retirement. :-)” 7:51:41 AM 1/22/08 “good morning everyone. I love the job. after my last two jobs invovled driving, it is great to work indoors. the best part is the bathroom. it is there when ever i need it :D~ have a great day oh if anyone sees Mr Snow, please ask him to come to NY ASAP so i can go sledding!” 4:16:41 AM 1/23/08 ““I have not seen the "Squirt" soft drink in years. We're getting lots of rain this morning here in Melbourne, Florida. Guess I'll make my own coffee. Sure enjoy the free coffee and sweet rolls at the Trailer Park's Resource Cafe. But I have some coffee cake here to go with the coffee. It's pouring outside. The weather forecast says 40% chance of rain showeers. Sure glad it's not 100%.” 4:55:21 AM 1/23/08 “Morning everyone. After a 4 day weekend, Laurel's home again because of getting very sick last night. We both have pretty wicked colds again too, after being disease-free for 3 weeks. SHe did just tell me that 4 kids in her class had to go home early because of "really bad allergies (her words.)"” 5:43:24 AM 1/23/08 “:-( Tree I'm sorry. Hope she rebounds quickly...you too!!! The sky is very dark gray but the sun is shining brightly. Hope everyone has a great day!” 5:49:08 AM 1/23/08 “Just as I got out the coffee maker, the rain slowed. Not a good time for the bicycle, but I drove to the Cafe and enjoyed decaf and a sweeet roll. Now I'm headed back to the trailer. It's been an exciting day.” 5:54:59 AM 1/23/08 “-20 and the fire roars. Sealed a couple more air leaks yesterday and I'll get a few more this fine crisp morning. Bacon, eggs and fried spuds sounds good for breakfast.” 5:59:04 AM 1/23/08 “Mornin. Its shapin up to be much prettier than yesterday. You Squirt lovers ever hear of Sundrop? It might be just a Tennessee thing but it sure is tasty.” 6:15:03 AM 1/23/08 “Sundrop? Eww. It's a southeast thing, I believe. They have it here, but not in Florida.” 6:16:22 AM 1/23/08 “We used to have sundrop up here when I was a kid. Not any more, though. Good pop!” 6:21:29 AM 1/23/08 “Haha! They love squirts.” 6:21:40 AM 1/23/08 Treebait “PPPPTTTTTHHHHHT!” 6:28:50 AM 1/23/08 “< < Grape Nehi > > but first....... Caffeine!” 6:28:56 AM 1/23/08 “Radar O'reilley's beverage of choice. yum” 6:30:20 AM 1/23/08 “I've been digging some cream soda lately! So what do you northerners call that, anyway? Cream pop? I mean it says "soda" right there on the bottle.” 6:30:52 AM 1/23/08 “Grape Nehi in the bottle, sometimes alternating with Orange Crush and Frostie Root Beer. I never ask for a generic 'soda' or 'pop'.... no telling what you might wind up with! (the Department of Redundancy Department recommends 'soda pop')” 6:44:36 AM 1/23/08 “We call it "Cream Soda", but it's still pop. You ask for it by saying "Can I have a cream soda, please"? It's very good.” 6:45:32 AM 1/23/08 “LOL! Okay thanks, I'm writing that down so I'll remember if I ever go to this alleged "Wisconsin" or "Michigan" or whatever.” 6:49:40 AM 1/23/08 “Grape Nehi over ice cream is Mmmm, Mmmmm, good. I like coke floats too whether they're made from coca-cola or pepsi ;)” 6:51:12 AM 1/23/08 “I suppose the expression 'soda pop' is used to differentiate it from the noise.... or the Rice Crispies guy. (?)” 6:55:34 AM 1/23/08 Jump to Page << prev
