Sorry about the rib thing --- I remember something that may be similar. I heard it described as a 'separation,' or a 'smooth muscle injury'... like a pulled muscle between the ribs(?). It does hurt like crap (laughing, coughing, *breathing*... have to 'splint' to clear your throat, even), and it does take a while to heal (like a couple of weeks or longer). How long have you had it? Seems like it's been a couple of weeks already(?)
