I just thought of Newgirl when I saw on a local news site that Ty Pennington got busted for drunk driving.

Looks like rain here (I wish) but nary a chance of it. Gotta go water the garden. I have to drop everything a little later today to get papers downtown to HPM at work, signed and notarized.

yeah she can test the next time he tests, but that would be a month or so away...puts her behind her friends, plus she's really worked hard.
We'll probably just go up after the test.

Darn it, I missed the morning. Slept through most of it, and then had to run out to help G move baseball gear from one building to another. I'm considering that my exercise for the day. Why he doesn't make his kids move the gear, I'll never know. They won't play today anyway with the crappy weather.

We had pouring rain this morning, and will have scattered storms the rest of the day. Weather man says we had 2" already today. Won't be out in the garden.

Doc appt this afternoon, anxious to hear the heartbeat again. Things are going well in that department.

Oh, and I didn't get the job I interviewed for last week. After I found out who I was up against (as I walked into the interview) I knew I wouldn't get it. Oh well, on to the next thing, whatever that is.

Have a good day, everyone.

erin is ok. i am just upset at her disrespecint me like that. i will bw so reliveed when she moves out and i don't know when she is gone all night long. i belive that she is tring to help this guy get through a bad time, but i don't like her being out all night long especially when there is a guy robbing people at gunpointt in the neighborhood. it happened again last night. she did not come in until 7am this morning. and i know that you will tell me that i am naive about what she says. but i have a VERY close relationship with her and i am giving her the benefit of my doubt based on this. BELIEVE ME, i know what i am risking. i was the original wild child. i have gone to a great deal of trouble to nourish relationships with my children. it just hurts like hell to be disrespected like this.

"Oh, and I didn't get the job I interviewed for last week."

That's too bad.

They had a teacher recruitment event at school today. It took everything in my body to keep from walking up to the waiting professionals and tell them "Go west, south, or east, young professional. This is not a good time to be looking at this field in this state".

Hopefully, times will change. If you're not in it for the long haul around here (read: stick it out for a few more years), a hurtin` it will be.

Good mornin' Up early for a short float down the river. The river is special when the sun is coming up and the fog is rolling off. A little cooler too, but I'll dress for it. My little kayak hasn't been in the water this year, so it should be greatful.

Yes it is!! =D Going to get my first bag night since January tomorrow. Packing today and we'll head down halfway tonight. Have to clean for the dog sitter too and go to the store to get something campfire worthy for dinner saturday. Lots to do but I'm glad to be doing it. Already have dug through my map box and found I've lost my directions to the Gorge. I think I may remember just how to get there though.

I don't know how much rain we got yesterday but it had to be three inches at least. It'sa bit foggy here too.

I got no rest at all last night (HPM snores) so I'm on my second red bull this morning. Of course I have to wait here for fed ex, then take said paperwork downtown to HPM (Argh)for him to sign, get notarized and return. I'm getting a big a$$ latte for myself for doing this.

A couple of months ago I dropped a big box of books on one toe on my right foot. It took a few weeks for the pus to work its way out at the back corner of the nail bed. Now, the cuticle's pulled away around 2/3 of the nail, and there's what looks like a big broken edge growing out now, with no apparent new nail growth behind it. It looks pretty darn scary and has me concerned to say the least. I want a pedicure really bad, but I'm not chancing it with this monstrosity.

sassafras

It hasn't bothered me at all since I finished draining the pus out. I just trimmed my nails and started messing with the thing, so now its bothering me a little. I haven't lost a toenail since about second grade, so my memory about the whole process is a little hazy.
treebait

Usually the new toenail is under there somewhere. If you damaged the nailbed it could be gone forever.
I always have a hard time leaving the old nail on until it falls off, esp when it starts getting flappy and catching on socks and stuff. The new nail most often (at least on me), grows in all bumpy and kinda scrunched up, and then straightens out once the old nail is gone and it grows out more.

Good morning. Great day yesterday. First I floated down the Namekagon Riverfor about 3 hours, followed by breakfast in town, a little grocery shopping and then a few hours of panfishing at a local lake. We had excellent success, the fish were in close to shore and very hungry. Following this I finally learned how to fillet sunfish and did so with the 14-15 chosen to be devoured. Next, the day blended into a steak cookout with some great beer. What a fun time. Today it's back to farm chores, which are fun in their own right (it's all attitude).

Hey Nimblefoot, when you float down the Namekagon, how do you get back to your car?
I'm going to try and get up to see you this summer...am I invited? LOL....

Usually I get up at 3am on Fridays but today I took 4 hours vacation as I am driving into Minneapolis tonight to hear my nephew, who lives in San Francisco, play with his touring heavy metal band...couldn't find anyone brave enough to go with me so it'll be a solo trip...just me and my earplugs...LOL...

Hit middle 80's yesterday...should be more reasonable today with temps in the 70's...TGIF!

Good morning, it's gloomy here and there might be a few showers.
Nimble, I didn't panfish in years, but seems once you start catching them, you'll catch a lot. I'll likely go fishing tomorrow and it should be pretty good with the warm week we had.

Mata - there are lots of ways I get back to my car. Stash a bike in the woods where I plan to get out, run/walk back, or like yesterday, go with a friend who works at a canoe shuttle. Yes, of course, you are welcome. We can float the river if you choose.

Rich - I am not a purist in the fishing thing, even though a trout stream runs through my yard and everyone else fishes it. Pan fish, bass, northern, just the kind of fishing where you throw something in the water and see what happens. With the warmer water temps they're closer to shore and will hit pretty much anything.
