A balmy 15° this morning and a fresh three or four inches of snow. Nice powdery stuff! Damn I wish I could get out my cross country skis! The last two months have presented perfect xc ski snow 3X. More work today. WooT! Coffee time.” 7:17:58 AM 3/07/07 “$^&%$$^%* anyone want a cat? She's better then an alarm clock at getting you up before the crack of dawn....” 7:37:23 AM 3/07/07 “Mornin' all you nice people. Got a design review this morning, so I'll not be around much today.” 8:01:30 AM 3/07/07 “Good morning folks.......it's 48 here and clear and sunny.......my son was leaving next week for spring break to spend time in the casino in La. with a friend....friend bowed out so son is lookin for what to do....dad suggests a campin trip.....son says 'ok'......time for 'male bonding'.....and beer? yeah....and beer.....” 8:17:16 AM 3/07/07 Thanks for nuthing. “ "Mornin' all you nice people."*%&@#!!! It would be polite to greet all of us others, too. Just sign me, nocount” 8:26:05 AM 3/07/07 “NS, fake it 'til you make it :) Blue sky, 0 degrees (but warmer), nice day for another walk in my new snow shoes. Yesterday I went for a snowshoe hike with Freckles. I've not used them before and am weakened by the crud, but they are workable. The snow was soft and I still sunk down a good foot. After the first mile it became pretty tough. When it got to the point where I walked about 100 paces and stopped for a breather, Freckles started to break trail for me rather than meander back and forth, to and from the woods. Just at the point where I began to take this assist for granted, she smartened up and started to follow me, lol. The smart, little twit followed behind me so close that she would have her forepaws on my snow shoes as I tried to take a step. Harsh words and barks were exchanged. This route normally takes about 40 minutes on bare ground. Yesterday it was more than 2 hours. I'll be out there again today.” 9:13:40 AM 3/07/07 “You've got yourself a smart little dog, Nimblefoot!” 9:18:48 AM 3/07/07 “Yawn, good morning...having trouble waking up...almost 20F...slowly, slowly Wisconsin thaws out...have a good day...yawn” 5:25:04 AM 3/08/07 “I'm here, barely. I think this homebuilding thing is going to be a royal pain in the ass.” 5:30:00 AM 3/08/07 “ I'm at work way to early. I have a feeling it's gonna be a long day. *yawn*”5:47:34 AM 3/08/07 “Good Morning folkses..............its nice out and about 42 and sunny......busy day so I'll look at younse l8rz.........” 7:21:15 AM 3/08/07 “morning......*yawn, stretches, scratches, the reaches for the coffee pot* Damn...its empty.....” 7:23:50 AM 3/08/07 “Morning. Here SC....I have half a pot and can make more....” 7:38:11 AM 3/08/07 “Thanks! too kind :)” 7:41:11 AM 3/08/07 “Mornin' all you nice people, and ns too. ;-)” 7:48:13 AM 3/08/07 “Good morning. LOL @ StoveStomper. From Ziggy: Now that I'm having memory problems, it no longer bothers me having leftovers. It's a beautiful day here in Melbourne, Florida. I hope we've had our last blast of frigid air from the north. This must be the start of Spring. It's time to start planning and preparing for a backpacking trip. Hope you all have a wonderful day.” 8:37:34 AM 3/08/07 “Nowslimmer, it's supposed to be 50° up here this weekend. I hope you don't get anymore fridgis air from up here. Never know what those Canadians will send though.” 8:46:21 AM 3/08/07 “My vacuum cleaner quit yesterday. Boy does that suck...or doesn't, or whatever. It's pretty old, so I guess a new one is the thing to do. Today is housecleaning day since my daughter will be visiting this weekend. Sounds backward, doesn't it? We're headed for higher temps as well, Sass, 28 today, 30's tomorrow and then a few days of the 40's. A nice warm spell, say 2 months, should thaw out some of those subterranean frozen turdcicles. Have a nice day (and image).” 8:50:51 AM 3/08/07 “sassafras - 50 is still cold! Nimblefoot - I just wait for my daughter to come by and let her do the cleaning and the dishes. I've learned how to use the memory loss, feeling ill, etc. techniques pretty well. I even take my crutches with me at times. People open doors for me, empty my shopping cart and offer to carry things for me. They even help me in and out of the Physical Fitness Building. And I don't feel the least bit guilty about it!” 9:05:37 AM 3/08/07 “The highs have been low 70's here all week. The Bradford pears are starting to bloom.” 9:16:10 AM 3/08/07 “I have big clumps of sopping wet snow falling on the roof. crocus' and daffodills are pushing up through the snow too.” 10:17:00 AM 3/08/07 “Dang, I just missed the morning. Parent conferences today, no teaching, but the kids come to conferences too. I am not happy about being here, since I'm just a sub, but I'm getting paid. Guess I can suck it up. Broke out the maternity pants. They don't quite fit, but the regular pants don't either. I've eaten like a horse today, so maybe they'll fit soon. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather. I'd like to get out and do some walking. Hope it stays in the 40's and 50's now. Baseball starts on Monday, so I'm sure the boys would like some warmer weather too. Have a good one, folks.” 11:11:48 AM 3/08/07 “sass, I planted hundreds of bulbs, not a one of them are showing yet! :(” 11:15:26 AM 3/08/07 “Daffodills are everywhere here. A friend with a farm outside town is having a Daffodila/Spring party on 3/17 which happens to be St. Patrick's Day. It's mainly folks from church. They cater the thing and have giant tubs of ice with water, soft drink, and beer in them. Good times.” 11:25:14 AM 3/08/07 “PS, with the first round of the SEC basketball tourney starting as 12, I've decided we're going to have an "office meeting" at the local wings joint. We have lots to discuss. last edited: 3/08/07 11:28:43 AM” 11:26:11 AM 3/08/07 “Hey Sass (or any of you fellow northerners), exactly when do we plant bulbs up here?” 12:12:59 PM 3/08/07 “For spring blooming bulbs, Fall.” 12:21:42 PM 3/08/07 “Oops.” 1:37:07 PM 3/08/07 “If you want ot get them going now, just chuck the bulbs in the veggie drawer of your fridge for a couple of weeks. That's all the chill timw they need. Put them in flower pots if you don't feel like digging in mud, and let them go.” 2:08:58 PM 3/08/07 “zzzzZZZZZZzzzzzz” 5:26:08 AM 3/09/07 “wake up lmg..........yawn...scratch........rub......its 46 fog/mist here........” 7:07:11 AM 3/09/07 “We got up to 40something yesterday! All the snow is almost gone. Already 24° this morning and we have sun for the third day running. Happy Friday everyone. last edited: 3/09/07 7:20:33 AM” 7:11:45 AM 3/09/07 “well, sassy, you seem bright and cheery this morning.............” 7:22:17 AM 3/09/07 “caffeine is imminent.” 7:33:43 AM 3/09/07 “My computer weatherman tells me it's bright and sunny in Trego, Wisconsin. The sky suggests otherwise. Could a computer be wrong? Got my brand new vacuum cleaner yesterday and it's really sucked up all the dog and cat hair. There's homemade bread baking in the oven, brownies this afternoon and a slow-cooked pork roast will be ready when my daughter and her boyfriend get here tonight. Freckles is going a little nuts right now because she wants to hit the trail. She may have to learn a little patience. Have a good day everyone.” 7:34:49 AM 3/09/07 “Mornin'” 8:11:34 AM 3/09/07 “Mornin' to ya'll” 8:22:14 AM 3/09/07 “Chappy, you have no idea how rare sunshine is in our part of the country. I'm ready for Spring. And, I only have two more days of my cast!!!! WooooHOOOOO!” 8:23:29 AM 3/09/07 “Wow, I've never been so glad to leave school today. The kids were obnoxious. Must be close to spring break. Ah, what a wonderful day. Almost 50 degrees here right now. I wish someone would drag me out for a walk right now. My headache is telling me to go take a nap. TGIF, Hakuna Matada, and Amen. Have a great weekend, everyone.” 2:26:39 PM 3/09/07 “Morning! Everyone gets to sleep in today eh? Off to work this a.m., be done by 1:00 so not bad at all. You all enjoy yer Saturday!” 6:59:19 AM 3/10/07 “It'a beautiful day in the neighborhood.... The dogwood out front is just on the verge of budding. My little flock of cardinals seems to have skipped town. Mom is moving today and I see boxes of books in my immediate future, VBG. My mantras for the day are 'stretch out the lower back' and 'lift with the legs'! Have a good one ---” 7:14:31 AM 3/10/07 “Good morning to you and you!!! I'm working a bit this morning then off to show mom around town. We are trying to find her a condo here in Asheville.” 7:26:18 AM 3/10/07 “Good morning everyone. Tilt, I'll let you know when those Cardinals make it to my place. Probably take awhile, so far all I've seen in these parts is an old broken down Bishop. It hit 51 yesterday. Lots of mud and melting snow. Freckles brought me a rabbit yesterday evening and was very proud of herself. I'm not sure what today will bring, but no doubt part of it will be a long walk in the woods. Peace.” 7:36:32 AM 3/10/07 “DId you prepare the rabbit? I'm sure she;s love to share it with you!” 7:43:33 AM 3/10/07 “Just be glad the rabbit was dead --- I knew a guy who woke up at least twice a week with his cat ('Jaws') fighting a pigeon under his bed, LOL” 7:56:34 AM 3/10/07 “I had a cat (Dr. Bob) when living in Virginia, who brought me rabbit heads.” 8:03:29 AM 3/10/07 Hugs. “Good morning. Jumping gee willeckers! I feel so guilty. Cataloochee Camp Ground in GSMNP opened yesterday and I'm still at home. This is terrible and I still have things that must be done before I can leave. But at least I'll be missing those morning temperatures around freezing that they are having up there this week. Have a wonderful weekend. And smile. It's only going to get better.” 8:13:35 AM 3/10/07 “What if it's already good, do we still have tosmile?” 8:27:22 AM 3/10/07 Jump to Page << prev
