It started out as a plantation of huge red (Norway) pine, eventually blending into a natural setting of sugar maple, poplar and oak, with lots of nice hills to cruise up and down. I think that this is county land and, if so, there was plenty of dead and down oak with which to resupply my firewood. Walking home on Cty Rd F, I also came upon a couple of birch and oak trees cut, split and neatly stacked by the power line crew.
