I'm drawn to it because it's diet and pink. Wondering if it tastes like yuck.” 12:54:18 PM 7/19/06 “Actually it tastes really good.” 1:37:02 PM 7/19/06 “I understand my neighbor across the street has a sucky job and gets home from work at 2:30 every morning. She's lived there nearly a year now, and you'd think she'd learn how NOT to set off the #&%!$ing alarm at least once a week by now. Oh yeah, this house has an external loudspeaker; you can hear the alarm from half a mile away when it goes off. Other than that, good morning peeps!” 5:34:27 AM 7/20/06 “Good Morning hugs from Lower Alabama......man.....am I hot...I sure don't remember it being this hot last summer.....I have yard work to do, but it is just too hot...and dry......there are showers everyday, but not always here...yesterday it poured at Lee's parents...they got a couple of inches...( 9 miles away...)...but not a drop at our house... ...treebait....I sure don't envy you moving!!!!!...it is hard work....” 5:56:04 AM 7/20/06 “Good morning all. Another rough day coming up. My bike rests while I participate in another golf tournament. My first lesson was yesterday and went pretty well. I'm on the verge of changing my mind and deciding that golf is a sport after all. Still, though, it would be better if you could physically hit the other players...especially the good ones, and even the odds a little. Havethe day of your choosing.” 6:02:19 AM 7/20/06 “LOL......I golfed until I couldn't see the ball anymore....so I put my clubs away....( I was pregnant...)...but I enjoyed it alot!!!...my fav time was early in the am....I thought it was relaxing.....but it seemed that if there was water...my ball was going into it!!!!” 6:15:39 AM 7/20/06 “Well, if you were pregnant there certainly was water...” 6:28:33 AM 7/20/06 Hugs. “Good morning. Hope you feeling good today. I just got some good news at the Waynesville Urgent Care Center. The scabbies, that I had last fall, are gone. However, I do have some fungus for which they prescribed some medications. I plan to start heading home next Monday. I may stop at Jackrabbit Campground along the way. Have a great day.” 8:48:28 AM 7/20/06 “Have a good trip Nowslimmer, drive carefully. The kid and I are headed up north for a week tomorrow. Two clients and then iron and pack all day. I don't know why I bother ironing, just to go and loll around in hammocks, etc. My goal is to take my American Canoe Association handbook and my canoe and get really proficient at steering from the front seat.” 6:12:44 AM 7/21/06 “Last day of four in Montreal. I can't wait to be back home in the woods of NH. Big thunderstorm last night.” 6:22:05 AM 7/21/06 “Good Morning hugs!!! NS....try some tea tree oil for fungus...it smells, but it is great for all kinds of things!!! ...Lee is in alot of pain...( this sure doesn't help my quest to get him out backpacking....) ...we still need rain...and all is quiet in the Gulf for now...sounds like St Louis had quite a storm!!!!..down here we call them hurricane strength winds!!! Y'all be sweet....” 6:22:58 AM 7/21/06 “morning all...work has really picked up and that's really cutting into my TT time ;) i have a half day training session today...our company is going paperless and i have to learn the new system” 6:29:01 AM 7/21/06 “paperless...sigh......I love books, and notes....I guess I need to report to the "you know you're getting old thread"!!!” 6:31:56 AM 7/21/06 “Should there be a "don't have a clue you're getting old thread"? Sass - when I read your comments about ironing, I had a flashback to my mother standing at the ironing board with a couple of spilling over laundry baskets beside her. She'd have that old familiar glassy-eyed, slack-jawed look, a six pack in the fridge and a can of beer on the ironing board. Scary memories.” 7:04:54 AM 7/21/06 “Morning, who knows what the weekend holds? But first, more fair coverage.......” 7:39:45 AM 7/21/06 Hugs. “Sassafras - I do try to be careful, when driving. As such I no longer take my hypertension medication on days that I expect to drive any significant distance. I believe the medication has contributed to some near misses on the road because of dosing and I don't intend to trust the medication is anymore. I have given up on objecting to it being too strong, but I may voice that objection once again. I did have an incident which shook me. If I stand suddenly or even jerk my head up, I can get dizzy. This happened at Big Creek C.G. this spring. I thought I was having a heart attack! divinity - Do I drink the "tea tree oil" or apply it to the skin? One of the medications the doctor prescribed for me is "Fluconazole." This is normally used for treating "virginal yeast infections!" Have a great day, everyone. last edited: 7/21/06 9:02:23 AM” 8:55:54 AM 7/21/06 “Morning everyone. I'm up and ready to get going on my homework, due tomorrow, for a class this week. I'm such a slacker, I'll be working on this stuff all day, and hope I get it finished! My class is "Understanding the Environment" so its all outdoors stuff. We get to go canoening, visit wetlands, a pine forest, and a few other things along the way. Should be a good week! Don't have too much fun here without me. :)” 7:17:27 AM 7/22/06 Hugs. “Good morning. It rained all night with plenty of lightning and thunder at Deep Creek C.G., GSMNP. Late yesterday I drove to Walmart in Sylva to obtain the unfilled portion of a prescription. They had promised that it would be there. Nope, they then told me it would arrive on Monday. I said, "Nope!" I'm leaving town on Monday and headed back to Florida. Next I'll have to waste time getting the prescription transferred. This can turn out to be a pain, since my insurance does not normally include direct coverage with Walmart. I may have to pay and then mail the charges to the insurance company. This will require searching for forms that I have not seen for years. Normally, I go to Walgreens, which bills the insurance company directly. If Walmart had not promised to have the drug the next day, I would have taken the prescriptions with me to Florida. Have a great day. last edited: 7/22/06 9:05:50 AM” 8:57:19 AM 7/22/06 11:20:41 AM 7/22/06 “I'd stay in bed longer if I didn't have such a backache when I woke up this morning. Ugh. I usually don't get those but did this morning. This weekend has totally sucked, except I got a call from a friend I haven't talked to in 9 years, so that was cool.” 7:24:11 AM 7/23/06 “tb, hope your back is in better shape this afternoon.......just got back from my 'pre-church' bike ride. Remember, folks, Rythms of Rest and Work..........” 7:29:32 AM 7/23/06 “Work? That's what I've been forgetting!” 9:12:13 AM 7/23/06 “divinity - Do I drink the "tea tree oil" or apply it to the skin? I'm coming to you from northern MI, I'm at a class. I've already been out to the woods to do a morning observation. Got bitten up a bit, saw a few other bugs, and heard a couple of birds. Not much else going on out in that forest ths morning it seems! Have a great day!” 6:55:44 AM 7/24/06 Hugs. “Good morning. Gee, I checked that spelling carefully. I'll have to get the box and check it again. Gotta go pack. I'm moving out of here. It might be a while before I appear here again. Enjoy your day.” 9:13:39 AM 7/24/06 “Hot and muggy. Looking around for some allyn wrenches so I can put some stuff on my bike. Sometimes I wish I were organized, but there is a payoff to not being so.” 9:16:28 AM 7/24/06 Oops “I found 'em...in my tool box.” 9:18:18 AM 7/24/06 “Good morning.............finally got 'some' rain..........time for a bike ride...........” 7:05:11 AM 7/25/06 “You know you're in trouble when the red bull doesn't affect grogginess at all. It took me forever to get to sleep last night. Argh. Part of it was because the cat Little Bit caught a roach, and decided to bring her new toy in the bed to play with. EEEE-yuck.” 6:32:05 AM 7/26/06 “starbucks.....now..........” 6:41:30 AM 7/26/06 “well, after strong coffee and David Lee Roth and his "real toe-tapper" (remember Lawrence Welk?) I need more strong coffee.........oh, yeah, it was rainin like a cow pissin on a flat rock when I woke at 4:54 this morning.... G-day all.....................” 4:40:22 AM 7/27/06 “WTF.......WAKE UP YOU HALF BREEDS!!!!!!!!!” 4:49:04 AM 7/27/06 “Sleepin' in at the Rez this morning. Coffe's on, movin' slow. No particular plans for today except to practice my heat avoidance behavior.” 5:54:44 AM 7/27/06 “half breed? Last hot day today, for a while. Should be in the lower 80's tomorrow after 94 today. great sunrise shaping up, hot coffee, Imus and TT.” 6:40:33 AM 7/27/06 “Just shoot me now. I've got a 101 fever, very painful head and neck, lots of drainage, and as a result already barfed up one load of mucus. Plus the sweats that won't stop. I do not need the flu right now.” 6:08:13 AM 7/28/06 “Bang! You're dead! Feel better now? (I hope you get over it)” 6:35:24 AM 7/28/06 “Rain! What a strange concept lately here in the desert, but Gawwwwd is smells nice when rain hits the hot desert floor. Wide awake at 4 AM for some unknown reason, so up and making bread, etc.” 7:42:43 AM 7/30/06 “good morning....coffee and church, then reading and bible study tonight.......maybe a bike ride afterwards........unlike SOME folks I know who have abandoned their poor bikes for a set of golf clubs...............booooooo” 7:51:31 AM 7/30/06 “Tree, when I am sick I have found that the Celestial Seasonings WELLNESS tea works. Zinc and Echinacea....takes getting used to the taste...but it seems to help. Hope you feel better. Um how sore is your neck? Can you touch your chin to your chest and then look back up?” 7:52:35 AM 7/30/06 “rain in the desert has an amazing smell. Be thankful for monsoon rains shawn! 54, sunny and breezy here. Fire season. There was a good size grass fire in Spokane Valley yesterday.” 7:53:02 AM 7/30/06 “Morning. Been to church already, have to finish some homework before we head to Tahquamenon Falls for camping this week. It appears that I'm finally over the severe allergic reaction I had last Thursday, that ended up with me in the hospital. Itchy rash from head to toe (literally), swollen eyes and ears, and overall misery. The steroids are working their magic now. G had to come pick me up from my class early. I'm waiting to hear from my professor on what I may have to make up. HOpefully, she'll feel bad enough for me that I won't have to do anything! Hot enough around here, and it doesn't look like the U.P. is going to be much better this week. Not looking forward to camping in the 95 degree heat, that's for sure!” 9:54:03 AM 7/30/06 “treebait...hope ya feel better soon. Temps around here are finally in the double digits. I'm running up to Hoodoo near Lassen for a quick hike. Stay safe everyone.” 10:17:19 AM 7/30/06 “See Ya in a week....I am out of here for a week in NC.” 10:28:59 AM 7/30/06 “Yes I can touch my chin to my chest, but looking up hurts like a mofo. Still doable though. My neck is tense but generally painless today. I think the whole thing might be due in part to stress lately. Gotta go. Lightning storm just blew up.” 2:21:19 PM 7/30/06 “Musta been some explosion!” 3:04:43 PM 7/30/06 “for sure, not good weather for golfin in......” 3:28:06 PM 7/30/06 “That was a heck of a storm. One of the windows at the front of my parent's house looked like a waterfall indside; here we go again. We had about 10 lightning strikes within one mile of the house. That was scary.” 5:11:11 PM 7/30/06 Jump to Page << prev
