A second link finally worked. I had enjoyed some great music for the last hour from Radio Swiss Classic. WQXR just had the newsroom report from the NY Times. That, the weather in Central Park and other items bring me back to reality. (Remember, I was born and raised in another real city, Chicago.) But this new connection has bogged down my system for some reason. I suspect that AOL is trying to discourage non-AOL people from using their radio free. The owner of the radio, the NY Times, no doubt, is forcing them to provide the public access. It used to be available 24/7 from the NY Times. Then the RIAA wanted more cash from steaming music, so they shut down for more than six months. They hooked up with AOL, which let us have two free hours per day on Radio Netscape(now departed), which was actual AOL Radio. Eventually, they opened up to free 24/7 on AOL Radio, where access is provided to all the stations, including XM.” 6:50:30 AM 3/03/06 “oh” 6:54:35 AM 3/03/06 Just kiddin' “Good morning NS, mornin' everyone. Sorry about your milk problem Treebait. I bought a spare half n' half yesterday. The thought of no cream for my coffee gives me night terrors. Sass, tell me you were joking about the crane. Put a smiley in there somewhere. I'm now having suspicions of you. Great day yesterday. Lots of sunshine and snowmelt all day long. The river is showing signs of opening up. Eagles sitting on the roadside eating deer carcasses and a couple of senior citizens who didn't make it home during the last blizzard. Supply and demand.” 6:59:30 AM 3/03/06 “Good morning.....nimblefoot, you ain't got no blubber so quit blubberin'.......Sassy, we got a step called the Texas Two Step, but it's more a dodge than a ford.......... I got about three people who wanna go out hikin who have contacted me in a week.....I think I'm gonna have to open up a business to take disgruntled professionals away from their jobs to the woods for a day or two..... and, Rocketman and I have already planned our next overnighter at the end of this month...another 28 miler.....only flatter. :)” 7:29:20 AM 3/03/06 “You b wrong. I gots me some blubber.” 7:32:17 AM 3/03/06 “Yep, and there will be a lot more road kill, as soon as that fresh, spring grass sprouts up along highway 53 betweeen you and Duluth. Too bad they're not that easy to locate during the deer season.” 7:33:54 AM 3/03/06 “What? nimblefoot got blubber? how is this possible? you been shackin up with Little Debbie again....you cad?” 7:38:09 AM 3/03/06 ns “53” 7:41:50 AM 3/03/06 “everywhere I look the number 53 keeps poppin up....I'll be 53 this year, born in '53.......” 7:47:30 AM 3/03/06 “Yes, at least on my '93-'94 Wisconsin Highway Map. Mapquest has it as 53, too. 53 joins 2 just south of Superior. I have seen areas thick with deer along there. But any roadside with grass along side of it attracts deer in the early spring. And I can visualize them gathering in your yard. last edited: 3/03/06 7:57:41 AM” 7:55:15 AM 3/03/06 “huntin with a buick, are we?” 7:56:24 AM 3/03/06 “Yep, it was a '74 Roadmaster(a 4 holer), springtime, 1977. last edited: 3/03/06 8:00:37 AM” 7:58:58 AM 3/03/06 “good, strong metal on that one...guaranteed to bring em down with one shot...........” 8:00:43 AM 3/03/06 “Sass, my university supervisor hasn't sent me the paperwork yet, so I don't know exactly how it went. She verbally told me it went fine. I was much more nervous than I thought! I asked the principal today to come observe me. I need recommendation letters to get a job! I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend, nothing to do but clean the house and work on school stuff. :)” 4:23:34 PM 3/03/06 “off to work for a 5 hour shift, yeehaw” 5:17:19 AM 3/04/06 “I wanna go hiking!!!!!!! But i gotta work :(” 6:15:54 AM 3/04/06 Hugs. “Good morning from Melbourne, Florida, where it is 53°F. --> 72°F. with mostly sunny skies. River foam boosts rowers, Algae die-off still leading suspect. Enjoy your weekend.” 6:19:08 AM 3/04/06 “good morning, well i think I maxed out my 15 mins of fame LOL but I did get my badge :) I worked 15 hours yesterday and I was going to clean today, yeah right! staying in bed today! being famous (well i am on an island LOL) is tiring. how does paris hilton do it?” 8:15:24 AM 3/04/06 “Well, for one thing she made a video.....” 8:18:27 AM 3/04/06 “LMAO Nimblefoot! Laurel woke us up at 7:20 this morning (she's NOT a morning person either) asking when she and Daddy were going backpacking. So, Laurel and HPM are off on their first backpacking trip together. They're meeting some friends who chose to drive directly to the campsite rather than walk a measly 3 miles with their kids. At least that's my take on it.” 11:26:46 AM 3/04/06 “GOOD Morning everyone. Here at Mt Rogers Virginia at an elevation of 3,500 feet 6 am -17 degrees and very stary out and crisp.” 5:01:36 AM 3/05/06 Hugs. “Good morning from Melbourne, Florida, where it is 49°F. --> 71°F. with mostly sunny skies today. Knott's Berry Farm cuts prices. Strawberry time! Festivalgoers have 'berry' good time Have a tremendous day. last edited: 3/05/06 6:55:28 AM” 6:45:50 AM 3/05/06 “Good Morning all, laundry day ugh! Supposed to snow later 2-4" than 50s later in the week. Hello spring?” 7:12:12 AM 3/05/06 “Goodmorning! I was hoping to find a post from Matahari. I can't wait to hear about her trip to Pictured Rocks! The weather was fabulous... well at least on my end of the peninsula. :)” 5:04:05 AM 3/06/06 “Mornin' Sunny! I'm already at work today.” 5:57:15 AM 3/06/06 “Good morning all! Great weekend here. We have chipmunks under our house. Our dogs are insane with need to get them. The beagle mix can smell them through the floor and heat vents and spends much of his time digging in these areas. Needless to say , Birch and I don't much care for him clawing at our heat vents and flooring. It's been interesting. Got a trap, thinking it was a bigger animal. Would have been so much easier if it was.” 6:01:40 AM 3/06/06 “Morning hugs...a beautiful day in the south!!!!......sunshine and in the 70s......went fishing in Mississippi yesterday.......here is total fish count....Lee=32...Kayla =4.....divinity=0.....I did feed alot of fish tho......all small fish tho...I don't believe there are any big ones in that lake....maybe I need fishing lessons!!” 6:03:20 AM 3/06/06 Hugs. “Good morning from Melbourne, Florida, where it is 51°F. --> 78°F. with sunny skies today. AT&T makes $67 billion bid for BellSouth Enjoy your week.” 6:03:23 AM 3/06/06 “Morning all our bid snow turned to an ice storm. Now it is turning to rain with a steady warm up all week. Could see mid 50s for canoecopia!” 6:06:55 AM 3/06/06 “I have the flu, whaaaaaa. It was so weird, on Friday night I puked for 3 hours straight, on Saturday I felt fine, and on Sunday it turned into the kind of flu where your nose runs, like a cold but worse. If anyone would like to hear more about the puking, I could go into greater detail.” 6:59:41 AM 3/06/06 “so what color of a techicolor rainbow did you get lyra?” 7:16:51 AM 3/06/06 “Glad you asked! Well after the first 3 pukes or so, it was mainly a neon-yellow bile color. :-D I think I worked it out that I puked every 10 or 15 minutes for 3 hours, so that works out to at least a dozen times. Not bad, huh??” 7:19:56 AM 3/06/06 “No dry heaves after the first couple? ;-)” 7:21:56 AM 3/06/06 “Did any chunks come out through your nose? New snow here and 29 degrees. Coffee helps. Got an offer on my house. I meet with the realtor in a few hours to make a decision. Never thought it would move in the middle of winter. Chappy and Nowslimmer are surprised when they "move" in the middle of winter too. Anyway, it all depends on the price. It's nice to have all these options after years of my choices being affected by kids and careers. It's all about me...yea...” 7:21:59 AM 3/06/06 “Sounds like you caught what Laurel had, Lyra. I hope you have lots of kleenex.” 7:22:13 AM 3/06/06 “Right now I am picturing you with cotton in each nostril and little strings dangling from within.” 7:24:19 AM 3/06/06 “Where you gonna move to, Nimble?” 7:24:20 AM 3/06/06 “Right now I am picturing you with cotton in each nostril and little strings dangling from within.” Nimblefoot Man, I am NOT touching that one!” 7:25:39 AM 3/06/06 “That I do, treebait. Well Stovey, I worked it out through experimentation that I would still puke, be it dry heaves or whatever liquid I drank since the last puke, every 10-15 minutes, so I just drank whatever fluid I could to try to get a little hydrated. Man, me being sick is so much more interesting than when anyone else is sick. HAHA.” 7:26:07 AM 3/06/06 “Yeah, that's hot, Nimble. LOL!” 7:26:49 AM 3/06/06 “Try sipping cola very slowly, a tablespoon at a time. It really helps ease off the dry heaves.” 7:28:38 AM 3/06/06 “Man, me being sick is so much more interesting than when anyone else is sick. HAHA.” lyra 7:26:07 AM You are Her Adorableness. ;-)” 7:29:39 AM 3/06/06 “Yeah I would've killed for some ginger ale, but we didn't have any soda, and it was midnight...so I had to settle for tea w/honey in it.” 7:34:05 AM 3/06/06 “UUUGH...I.V. Phenergan....Anything with Ginger in it will work. We used to carry ground ginger for a ginger tea...Feel sorry for you.” 7:47:23 AM 3/06/06 “I don't know for sure where I'm going, Stovey. I'm thinking about getting an old fixer-upper (no, I'm not talking about a woman), doing some renovation and sell for profit. There's one in the area for about 40k. Once I do that I may get some acreage, 40 or so, and build my own house...or I might say to hell with the long winters and move elsewhere. That's what makes this such totally neurotic fun; I don't even have a clue what my plans are. Once I find out, generally after the event has occured, I'll post it.” 7:55:08 AM 3/06/06 “Yay, I love it when people feel sorry for me! ;-) haha. Actually now that you mention it, I do remember in my delirium eating a piece of candied ginger. Didn't do much, except give my puke a nice sweet & spicy flavor. Mmmm.” 7:55:35 AM 3/06/06 “Coolness! I was about to head outside to feed the koi kids and I looked out the door first; there was a bobcat drinking from the koi pond! Weeee!” 8:37:03 AM 3/06/06 “Neato!!” 8:45:35 AM 3/06/06 “That's kinda the way I am, Nimble. It's another 5-9 years before I get my freedom. All I know is I want to get the hell to higher ground. Hurricane storm surges suck the big one.” 8:49:26 AM 3/06/06 Jump to Page << prev
