And while on the last trip in the mountains, they mailed me a new Driver's License. No examination required! Yesterday I had the car's A/C and fan repaired. Thought I needed a new fan, but no, just a good cleaning. It was full of hair and other things. Those traihead mice were active again. I always set mice traps in the car before leaving on a hike. And I frequently catch them. On a previous ocassion, after arriving home I discovered three nests in the car. About the wheels, I've had several wheel balance jobs to try and stop vibration around 55-60 mph. I learned that the aluminum wheels were likely throwing the weights and that they need to be glued-on. The vibration disappears for a while after each wheel balance job, so they can be balanced.. The mechanic told me about how mice had ruined an expensive engine in a race car. They entered through the exhaust pipe and set up housekeeping in an engine cylinder. They did their duty in a second cylinder, which became rusted and corroded. Watched a few minutes until it disappeared behind clouds. The clouds were only a very slight haze the same blue color as the sky, but they hid the shuttle's flaming exhaust from view. (She and her friends were robbed twice in Costa Rica.) A trip like this this with some of my family would be great. However, I had just decided to flee the humidity in Florida and return to GSMNP for three months. My weight has been increasing, etc., and I know I would be more comfortable and cooler there at the higher elevations. Also, my car is too small for four people with all the gear. Hmmm, I guess that decides it. Mountains, here I come. I would rather have good knees than be declared, "disabled." But this new Disabled Parking Sticker is great!
