“coffee?? Isn't that when morning Pepsi is for, that quiet-but-strong jolt that wakes ya?

Our strong winds from over the weekend are gone (which blew over one live nativity scene, heh). Yesterday was still windy some, but sunny and in the low 40s. :-) My kinda winter weather. The earlier light snowfall all gone. (when will Nimblefoot meet up either for hiking or canoeing?? LOL)

Today, right now, 31, at the home of the Mayo Bros. 40 percent chance of snow Friday night.

holy sheeyat, it smells like baking cookies around here. Can't remember, no, literally can't remember the last time that happened (no "domestic goddess" here!) Thanks to a co-worker for steering me to the pre-mixed cookies at the store. I didn't know there was such a thing!! LOL! Although the chocolate chip cookies, made with the help of my friend Betty Crocker, are a bit crumbly. What makes that? I added extra chocolate chips to them (of course!) Does that mean there's too much butter in them?

Must finish gifts for the "girls night out" party tonight........”

Nah, just wanted something easy for the stupid "girls night out." (They all put a big emphasis on Christmas decorations, the "right" food for the little party, etc. They ain't been to my place yet. YIKES! I have, however, offered to take them on a hike come spring.... an easy hike... with drinks in the woods. LOL)

Heck, I just wrote my weekly column, in the last hour, about my disturbing, ultra worrisome Martha Stewart/"domestic goddess" trend as of late (my god's sake, I even MADE my ornament for the exchange on here)

OH GOD, WHERE WILL IT END??!?!? Making ornaments... baking cookies... (although they were pre-mixed!)

NF, I wouldn't want anyone thinking I actually do these things on a regular basis. good god! LOL! I think Martha Stewart is trying to channel through me this holiday season. LOL!

And NS, OK, no one was in the live nativity when it blew over (now that woulda been NEWS! lolol) You have heard of live nativities, haven't you? Kids and/or adults huddle in the cold outside to portray or act out the manger scene...

“Much, much to do. Course the day ends around 4-ish, doing a story on this family that puts up a HUGE display of holiday lights. The guy told me they probably add 1,000 lights a day.

He says, Friday at 4 would work for an interview "We might have refreshments by then, too." LOL! *Sometimes* ya gotta like this job. ;-)”

Hi: 71�F.

Went hiking yesterday. Forgot the Endurolytes and could not take any until returning home. It was not enough. The dreaded leg cramps hit me about two hours after I went to bed. One leg is still sore this morning. Usually I take the capsules before, during and after exercise and this appears to have been working.

they are the cards i bought last year and never sent and i guess this summer during the hurricanes and power outages they had gotten damp and sealed themselves....

“Actually, I'm still testing. I'm assuming that they are working, since sometimes I could have cramps after a long swim or martial arts class, but have not had any starting the capsules. Yesterday was my most strenuous day recently and it appears that the capsules are needed before and during the activity, as well as after. I plan to continue using them.

However, I have to be careful and I believe I need to maintain consumption records. Last week I had some aches in the center back of my head. This only happened once previously. I was taking potassium pills on the trail to try to prevent the cramps. Got these headaches, quit the pills and the headaches stopped.

Getting the painful cramps is more than justification to quit strenuous activities. It makes me feel that I should quit most activities and just wait for the grim reaper.”

“Chai tea here........yummmm...a cold morn in Alabama!!!I woke up at 7am and everyone is gone....did the rapture happen and I miss it???????

I have my tree up...wooohooo...white with white lights and trimmed in purple and gold.....it is fantastic..........

someday I will go to stoage and get out my tradional stuff.......it will be so much fun..I have not seen the stuff in 2 yrs....all my kids ornaments ....maybe I will do that next year and surprize my kids.....!!!!”

18 degrees with a promise of real cold. My prelit tree is up, although I've got to string some new lights in that middle third area that isn't lighting up. Bought an angel for the top. Now there's 2 angels in the house, me being the other.

Tell me about Endurolyte, NS. I have never heard of it. I'm curious. Not sure of what today will bring. I'm thinking about hiking, but I'm also pretty lazy.

My son is 29 today. I think he's headed for some mountain north of Richmond to do a little snowboarding. No snow in my area, but plenty all around. I could use a day of skiing.”

“Birch steered me onto these. He uses them, especially when running. Long distance runners use them.

I get cramps from overexertion, sitting on some furniture and even from lying on a soft bed. I get them driving in my current car after about an hour or so, unless I elevate my self with some firm cushions. I need to prevent blockage of circulation in my legs, etc.,

“We use them during races. They really make a huge difference on long days, have also used them on long hikes, long runs, etc. But mostly for adventure races. I can't remember exactly but I think it's two capsals every one or two hours. Maybe even more often. I know I had a big baggie of them for the eleven hour race I did. Nothing hurt after that excepting my rear end and that was just from being on the bike for so long. I didn't think I'd need them for the four hour race I did in October. I cramped up something fierce while riding the bike.”

Brrrrr again. Just stepped outside to read the thermometer. It's -18 below, but probably only feels like -17 below because there's no wind and the sun is shining.

Water is frozen in the bathroom. No shower, no flushing. I can still make coffee (BIG smile) and lots of yellow snow.”
