I'd much rather be doing something else. (oh, get your mind out of the gutter) But yeah that's what I was thinking. Beautiful day here in Montana! Blue skys, might be a hot one today. Got an interview at 11am and hoping to pass out a few more resumes. Still am on the fence about full-time versus part-time (and the reciprocol for school)” 11:03:54 AM 7/21/04 “MORNING HUGS!!!! woooooo hoooo it's payday!!!....and only two more days of work..... I am going to sleep in soooo late Saturday!!!like 6 or 7....lol.... Y'all have a great day and do something nice for someone today!!! hugs!!!” 4:20:31 AM 7/22/04 “Aaaaaah... Coffee. :) Goodmorning!” 6:23:45 AM 7/22/04 Good morning. 6:58:18 AM 7/22/04 “Good morning you all. It will be a dry mild couple days in northern Wisconsin.” 7:25:15 AM 7/22/04 “Prosecutor, after the recent humidity and 80s, a few days in a row of dry and upper 60s to mid 70s here in the North Woods will be nice. Just have to keep the garden watered. Oh yeah, and get my summer tasks done at the office.” 10:09:58 AM 7/22/04 “good morning! Up at 7:30, fed the sheep and started the coffee. Got to have coffee. Almost had to do w/out yesterday. Lucky for me there was a Noon's sinclair gas station on the way to the University. No big schedule today: tutor, check my mail, send out a few resumes, make a few calls and go see the Osprey (local minor league baseball team) play ball tonight.” 10:26:38 AM 7/22/04 “Good morning you all. This is unusual for me to beat Nowslimmer to this thread. I needed a week with warm temperatures an NO rain to finish staining the cabin mhere in the northwoods of Wisconsin, and that is what I got. No rain in the forecast until next week.” 5:54:49 AM 7/23/04 “Fun, fun, prosecutor. Not. Be sure and drink lots of water. I'm headed to camp to pick up four very tired girls. They should sleep well tonight! I'm sorry but I liked that one hot day. 50* here right now. Still, I've got shorts on. I'm an eternal optimist.” 6:36:00 AM 7/23/04 “Good morning. On Wednesday it was so hot and humid that all I had to do was step onto the fairgrounds for the county fair and I had an instantaneous headache! Rain moved the arm wrestling inside the cow barn -- LOL! -- but the beer tent stayed pretty dry. ;-)” 6:54:39 AM 7/23/04 Good morning. “We're having some nice weather without rain. They did issue a Hazardous Weather Outlook. That's like saying, "Be careful on your hike!" After several years I have a working A/C. It feels great, although my electric bill is sure to climb rapidly. Have a great weekend. prosecutor - I hope we're not in a race to get here in the morning. I would definitely concede to your youth. LOL.” 7:20:12 AM 7/23/04 “I'm up, but not up off the couch. Gotta move. Friday eh? TT should be lively. We are finally getting some "monsoon" weather with t-storms and rain. Hopefully, they'll open some of my trails soon.” 7:23:26 AM 7/23/04 “Morning everyone! YEsterday, it was a steamy 91 degrees here, today it'll be a high of 74. I finally go to turn the AC off and the cats can nap in the window and feel the breeze on their fur. Wish I was there, instead of at work!” 7:24:14 AM 7/23/04 should be a better link 7:24:49 AM 7/23/04 “wow, rocking and rolling down there eh, NS!” 7:41:51 AM 7/23/04 “Morning Everyone! Busy day today. Packing up for a week up north in Grayling. My Dad reserves the officers' cabins at Camp Grayling, on Lake margarethe, and all his brothers and sisters (all 8) come in from Kansas. Their kids and grandkids come and we do nothing that we don't want to do. Going to go on a Tall ship cruise, go canoeing, and spend loads of time in my hammock with my new library book. I can't wait! Now, if only I could find someone else to pack for us, lol. BTW, It was 108 in one of the classrooms I cleaned last night. I'm awfully grateful for the cold front too!” 7:50:43 AM 7/23/04 “Yes. With the A/C going full blast yesterday, I had to wear a winter jacket. I think my watermelon picked up some frost. Had to eat it fast before it froze.” 7:53:13 AM 7/23/04 “Nowslimmer, no race. Older people need less sleep, and I was worried about you.” 8:17:35 AM 7/23/04 “When I wake up early in the morning, Lift my head, I’m still yawning. When I’m in the middle of a dream, Stay in bed, float up stream (float up stream), Please don’t wake me, no, don’t shake me, Leave me where I am, I’m only sleeping.” 8:20:13 AM 7/23/04 worry not “prosecutor - I sometimes sleep-in after a rough class, like last night. Got to tackle the "brown and black belt" people last night. Did a little drill of throwing each one of them rapidly with five different throws. It can be done without letting go of the opponent, but last night we allowed the opponent to get up after each throw and make another attack. In a real situation, because of some personal, physical, risk factors, I would try to leave an opponent in a condition so that he would not make a second attempt to damage me. That's why I sometimes use a different name on TT. aka: bonecrusher” 8:53:09 AM 7/23/04 “So far, did a tiny bit of gardening, and tried to get myself mentally up for going into the office to do a bit of work. The last part isn't working too well. If I don't go in today, I'll have to do some work over the weekend (editing job, so it can be done here or the office, any time of day). But it's just me and the pets and a beautiful day here at home, so I'm into some heavy procrastinating. This evening I've got a faculty get-together to welcome new instructors, particularly our new philosophy/Spanish teacher who is from Mexico. So I guess I can count that time tonight as "work" related. Sass -- I'm guessing the Tall Ship cruise won't be in Grayling -- are you going over to Traverse City for that? Have a fun and relaxing time. I love heading out onto big water on a big sailboat.” 10:54:50 AM 7/23/04 “This is my one day off for a while. I get to work the Er the weekend again. Wohoo..I guess. I am turning into such an insomniac! I feel like I only get a couple hours of sleep a night.” 10:56:51 AM 7/23/04 “I’m so tired, I haven’t slept a wink, I’m so tired, my mind is on the blink. I wonder should I get up and fix myself a drink. No, no, no.” 10:58:52 AM 7/23/04 “Well, at least you arnt spouting haiku.” 11:00:57 AM 7/23/04 “Morning everyone....it is a late am for me...sleeping in until 6am :)..I'm in Tuscaloosa visiting some friends.....I am going to the Birmingham museum of art tomorrow......maybe if not too hot I will also take in the zoo.....I have not been there for awhile...I miss taking my kids when they were smaller...:( I miss waking up on the weekends and wading thru my living room of sleeping kids bodies....and I miss my son's bugs collections.....and cooking at my neighborhood cookouts :(” 7:28:01 AM 7/24/04 “I'M UP WITH COFFEE IN HAND. Our pool has been broken for a few weeks and I got the parts in the mail yesterday that I need to fix it. Can't wait to get it up and running today...it's HOT down here in AL.” 7:32:10 AM 7/24/04 “I shall be groggy in the AM for the next 10 days or thereabouts. I'm trying out some of those Crest Whitestrips, so I'm going cold turkey on the caffeine, LOL” 7:35:00 AM 7/24/04 “You guessed correctly Pekka. I do believe the name of the ship is the Manitou or something of the like. Well, see you all in a week and a few. Have good mornings while I'm gone. =)” 7:40:35 AM 7/24/04 Good morning. “I'm not groggy at all. However, I did my good morning on the Aurora Borealis Last Night? thread thinking it was this thread. divinity - There are lots of hugs waiting for you in Florida.” 7:41:00 AM 7/24/04 “I’m up late today! I never manage to sleep passed 7 AM! Went and saw Jerry Sienfield last night. My sides hurt from all the laughing.” 8:03:56 AM 7/24/04 “Fair winds and calm seas, Sass! Didn't sleep well last night (actually very early this a.m. -- think it might be allergies) but reino let me make up for it by sleeping in a bit. Finally stumbled downstairs and outside to turn the sprinkler on for the front yard and immediately got tagged by the neighbor lady across the street to help her load a heavy table top into her pickup headed for a garage sale. Heavy lifting before coffee!! Yikes. As I shuffled back to my yard, her little granddaughter looked at me and asked, "Did you just get up?" A very perceptive child. Well one cup mostly down, now. A beautiful day of sunshine and fluffy clouds here in the North Woods.” 10:59:28 AM 7/24/04 Good morning, all you smiling people. “Tilt - Can I buy you a cup of coffee? I'll be looking for your report on the White Strips." I wonder if rinsing in hydrogen peroxide would be just as effective? Maybe the purpose of the White Strips" is to help break the coffee habit. Somewhat like the patches to help one quit smoking. Hmmm, now there's something that can stain the teeth. Does one have to quit smoking while using the White Strips," also? MDSHiker - Is your pool open for swimming today? It's a nice day for a swim. I went for one yesterday and may do it again today. pekka - Any aches or sore muscles today from moving that table? Overriding any aches must be that good feeling from being a nice, helpful neighbor. I hope she shows her appreciation by bring you some freshly baked cookies or something. Have a great day, everyone.” 6:37:00 AM 7/25/04 “Good morning everyone. Clear, calm, sunny and highs in the upper 70s today in northern Wisconsin.” 6:49:46 AM 7/25/04 ¡mucho ojo! “Good morning, prosecutor. Will you still be giving us the weather forecasts while the frosty, winter gales are hitting Chicago?” 7:18:01 AM 7/25/04 “Well, I quit the Marlboro Lights almost 4 years ago --- That had to help some. Maybe if I quit drinking coffee and switched to No-Doze? <YECH> LOL” 7:33:28 AM 7/25/04 “WOOT!! Pool is open !! Temp yesterday in North AL was 92F and the humidity was 1000% !! LOL” 8:41:10 AM 7/25/04 “It's been very hot and dry here for a week. No promised rain, darn it. I'm irrigating the yard this morning, but it looks like it may be too late for a few potted plants. Oops. The air quality here is very poor because of smoke/haze and built up pollution and ozone. It's so bad I start coughing after a few minutes outside. It's very irritating. Bleah.” 8:45:43 AM 7/25/04 “Coffee's good here. "Monsoon" season is upon us, the rain is welcome. It'll help with fire danger, not much for the drought. I helps make the days more tolerable too, with some cloud cover and rains to cool the afternoons and evenings.” 9:09:43 AM 7/25/04 “Only 1000%? One of the local TV stations began reporting air quality a while back. I'm waiting to see what they say the next time we get one of those back-door fronts and we lose our prevailing west-to-east flow. When the wind blows east-to-west we'll be downwind of International Paper, Proctor & Gamble and Columbia Nitrogen.” 9:37:42 AM 7/25/04 “Good Morning, Campers! It's another lovely, er... dark Monday out there. No rain last week so it was pretty much like living in a large toaster over set on Low. More of those afternoon & evening thundershowers predicted for this week, allegedly.” 5:16:15 AM 7/26/04 “Goodmorning! Got a call from my last job. I'm going in a couple days this week to help keep up the paper work. The end of the month is upon them and my replacement had to have gallbladder surgery. I don't mind. I can use the money and I can tell them how I've been hanging out at the beach, making strawberry jam and reading books! And the coffee is free at work! :)” 5:26:41 AM 7/26/04 “Ah... free caffeine... is Management drugging the employees again to improve productivity? LOL” 5:35:45 AM 7/26/04 “Well Tilt, the joke is on them if they are. The time I spend running back and forth between my desk, the coffee maker and the bathroom negates any increase in productivity, if it indeed increases any activity. LOL” 5:38:09 AM 7/26/04 “That ties in with my own personal Grand Unified Theory: "everything balances out, eventually", <G>” 5:43:31 AM 7/26/04 “Good morning! It's been nice and cool the past couple of days in NH. Friday was hot, but then it cooled down to the lower 50s at night. Saturday and Sunday were both mostly sunny and highs in the middle 70s. I almost finished staining the house this weekend. I spent some time doing a second coat on the window trim and the posts holding up the deck and screen porch. I also did the deck stairs and deck. I think it will be just one more coat on the posts and then I'm done! This project was more difficult and took much longer than I thought it would, but I'll have the satisfaction of a job well done. Time for a shower and then off too work.” 5:45:56 AM 7/26/04 It's Raining It's Pouring...The Old Man Is Snoring “I'm up. And It's pretty wet out.” 6:12:55 AM 7/26/04 “Good morning you all. Got up at 1:00 a.m. to see if there were any more northern lights, but alas, none, so I went back to sleep. Now I am up for good.” 6:38:08 AM 7/26/04 “Good morning, all you beautiful people. prosecutor - You may find the Astronomy Picture of the Day interesting this morning. It mentions how the current sun spot activity has been able to create rare purple auroras.” 6:59:02 AM 7/26/04 “Ugh, I needed two big cups of coffee just to function at more than low speed this morning. Thank God the bambina wants to sleep in. ;)” 7:58:21 AM 7/26/04 Jump to Page << prev
