They use a little coffee disk/filter pouch. I’m going to get some and try them out. The coffee tea bags are OK but they just aren’t full bodied enough.” 9:23:03 AM 7/10/04 Lysol works. “ There are no bugs on us, hey! There are no bugs on us. There may be bugs on you other guys, But there are no bugs on us! 9:46:57 AM 7/10/04 Boy, I need more coffee! “ ![]() 9:50:07 AM 7/10/04 “Makes ya wanna whip out your tape of the Andromeda Strain... Eh, NS? <G> Yes, Nigal, they can be a little weak... especially when it's cold outside and I don't want to wait around while the coffee gets cold! (then I definitely toss in two of those puppies). In hot weather, I'll just go with one and forget about it while it steeps for 10 minutes. I was wondering about the pouches for those machines, too....” 10:03:46 AM 7/10/04 “There are over 2,500 species of mosquitoes in the world. Is this Andromeda? I looed for Andromeda mosquito. Lo” 10:25:58 AM 7/10/04 “Hmmmm. Looks like I stuck an extra <center> tag in that last post... </center>!” 10:33:53 AM 7/10/04 “ooooooooooooooooooh yeah.... THAT Andromeda! She's hot stuff! <G>” 10:37:05 AM 7/10/04 Good morning “Sunday..... right? <G>” 9:20:50 AM 7/11/04 9:21:39 AM 7/11/04 “Yep.... that nasty little space bug that can turn all your blood to powder in 3 seconds. Nasty stuff! <G> Don't bogart that Sterno!” 9:34:10 AM 7/11/04 “Aaaaahhhh, I got the very rare joy of sleeping in! 10 hours of proper sleep! Now I get to keep on cleaning house. Bummer that!” 10:51:30 AM 7/11/04 Space Bug “ >Takes up very little space (Click for details on a free $99 chair.) Side note: It's raining in Melbourne.” 11:18:38 AM 7/11/04 “Melbourne International Airport Last Update on Jul 12, 6:53 am EDT Fog, 70°F. (21°C.) Today: Chance Tstms, Hi 89°F.” 6:39:54 AM 7/12/04 “I'm up, and I'm at work, but I wish I was still in bed. Had a lovely weekend with my birthday picnic on Saturday, and sitting by the pool all day Sunday. My car is still at the dealer - they didn't even look at it on Friday when I dropped it off. Ba$turds!!” 7:14:26 AM 7/12/04 “a muggy 70F here, good chance of t-storms in the PM. Finally got my butt on my bike this am for an hour dawn ride.” 8:01:52 AM 7/12/04 “Man o man, the weather in Michigan just can't be beat this summer! We spent a hot and sticky weekend in S. Indiana. We came home to a gorgeous night and find out that the weather might get hot this week, highs of 82°. =) Got some rain last night. Seems like everytime we break down and set the sprinkler up on the garden it rains as soon as it's shut off, lol. We got to do something interesting this weekend. We went on a luminated (with luminaries) Fairie walk. We walked through the grounds of the founders of Ball State University while little girls jumped around in fairy costume, giggling and stealing our daughter away to dance in rings of light. Now Abby wants to grow up to be a fairy, not a jump-rope girl.” 8:08:06 AM 7/12/04 “Well, Sass, I can see the value in both careers. Oh, to be 4 again!!” 8:13:59 AM 7/12/04 “That sounds adorable, Sass. Laurel's in a "I love critters" tomboy phase right now. Cute as anything, and wants to play with the lizards in the yard. I caught one yesterday and she tried to give it a kiss.” 8:17:06 AM 7/12/04 “Abby finally lost her fear of bugs and stuff too. She's picking up bugs and stuffing them in her pockets now! I love it. =)” 8:25:23 AM 7/12/04 ““We got to do something interesting this weekend. We went on a luminated (with luminaries) Fairie walk.” We have a place down in Dayton where you can do this. It’s called Triangle Park. They’ve busted four high school teachers and a priest there. LOL!” 8:30:23 AM 7/12/04 no Fairy dancing in montana “good morning! was a quiet weekend. I should have more rock than I do (putting in a slate patio) but I was lazy. The car didn't move all weekend! But half the patio is dug up. And the dead spots in the lawn have "new" sod in them. My corn is 8" tall, yeah (pretty good for montana) so don't you easterners laugh. Sweet corn here is like gold. And so far the deer are keeping their bargain by staying out of the garden.” 10:57:28 AM 7/12/04 “That is tall for Montana corn, mm! We went whitewater rafting on the Stillwater River (this isn't really us, but that's the river!) saturday. It was a blast and felt great with 90 degree temps!” 11:04:55 AM 7/12/04 “going on yet another Job Interview today. One of these day's I will find a better job. need some good luck my way :)” 11:06:36 AM 7/12/04 “GFingers crossed for you ML!” 1:07:21 PM 7/12/04 “YEA YEA interview went very very well. I hope I get this one. They said this position has great opp for advancement. so let's hope I hear from them by Wed and I can go to Ithaca and PARTY!!! if not, then I will keep on looking :)” 1:44:21 PM 7/12/04 “Rain, rain, and more rain in NJ today. At least it's Monday, which would be fine any other Monday, but I am off of work this week!!!. Oh well, at least we had a nice weekend here. I seriously hope this weather moves out by Thursday; we wouldn't want the Ithaca trip to be a washout, now would we?” 1:49:09 PM 7/12/04 Good morning. “Ithaca / Tompkins County Last Update on Jul 13, 5:50 am EDT Friday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 76. Friday Night: A chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Saturday: A chance of showers before 7am. Partly cloudy, with a high near 79. Saturday Night: A chance of showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low near 60. Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 78.” 7:09:04 AM 7/13/04 “I spoke too soon, lol. Heat index of 90° today, humidity is HIGH. A/C is on, until work time where there is no a/c and the temps are about ten degrees higher. Tomorrow back to the seventies.” 7:56:48 AM 7/13/04 “Yep, and I get to spend the day outside in our crappy humid, hot weather. Whoopee.” 8:57:12 AM 7/13/04 “It sounds like you guys are about to float away up there... I wonder how Geobeet's ark is coming along --” 9:06:32 AM 7/13/04 “you Michigan ladies ought to come to Tennessee. Heat index today between 102-105..ouch I have been lucky with my apt. I never turn on the A/C until I get home. The place is comfortable when I get there. Just makes me wonder what it will be like when Tenn's so called winter gets here.” 9:06:39 AM 7/13/04 ...but it's a dry heat... “It's going to be in the 90's today in South central Montana, but it's kind of crispy with only 15% humidity later in the day.” 9:10:45 AM 7/13/04 “I came into work yesterday and checked the weather forecast. It was rain and thunderstorms every day into early next week. As soon as my boss came in around 9 AM, I told him I was taking a day off to finish the painting/staining project. I went home and got the rest of the window trim done (2 coats) before it rained a little. All I have left is the top of the deck, the stairs off the deck which Gojo built last Oct., some minor touch up and I'm done! I hiked up the Tuckerman Ravine trail to the Mount Washington summit on Sunday. Saturday, I was at a party on Squam Lake in NH where they filmed On Golden Pond. The hostess of the party had arranged for a Science Center tour boat to pick us up at her dock and take us on a lake tour. We saw 5 loons and bald eagles in their nest on an island. It was also cool to see the filming sites and hear some of the local history with the filming of On Golden Pond. We saw the lake cabin, the rocks of Pugatory Cove where the boat crashed and the swimming float. I'll have to watch the movie again.” 9:13:56 AM 7/13/04 “That was nice of the boss to let you go paint, Ski. Or is work slow right now?” 9:15:47 AM 7/13/04 “They're pretty good here about letting you use your personal and vacation days.” 9:23:36 AM 7/13/04 “I was thinking of "On Golden Pond" a week or two ago.... as I was watching "Once Upon A Time In The West", <G>” 9:25:23 AM 7/13/04 Good morning “Time to make a donut run on my bicycle. Coffee should be ready when I return. Ah, it's a beautful day in Melbourne, but it's headed to 94 with lots of humidity. A good day for being in an air-conditioned pool hall. Y'all enjoy your day.” 6:59:09 AM 7/14/04 “I'm thinking about making iced coffee today; it's supposed to hit 98˚ this afternoon.” 7:16:33 AM 7/14/04 “personal and vacation days. I don't understand that concept. I only get one kind - use it for sick time, personal time, vacation time, etc. and we don't get enough of it! had major storms roll through here last night, but only a high of 76 today. should be a great night for a run!” 7:38:22 AM 7/14/04 “this is the third day in a row that I have gotten Dunkin Donuts Iced Latte Carmel Swirl. OMG YUMMY!!!!” 7:38:39 AM 7/14/04 “SG, you can never have enough days off. I used to work in a place that had days off for whatever; vacation, sick, or personal. I liked that system because it rewarded those who were not taking a lot of sick days with more days off to play.” 7:52:36 AM 7/14/04 “i like that systme too, skiracer, but i just don't get enough time!” 9:00:29 AM 7/14/04 “I always like to insure my mental health with a sick day here and there, (trust me, I need them). I get a kick out of boss' who take it personally if you want to use your vacation time. I'm with one like that now. SG, our PB days can only be taken one at a time, not in conjunction with any vacation or holiday and you may have to offer an explanation what business you're attending to that cannot be taken care of durring off hours.” 9:11:09 AM 7/14/04 “I called in 'well' the other day. I told my boss I was feeling too good to come in to work.” 10:05:43 AM 7/14/04 “I very rarely call in sick to work. Since I don't it doesn't look bad when I do so I can get a 3 day weekend. I only get one weeks vacation a yr but we do close down from Christmas Eve till Jan 2. That is nice but sometimes it is hard to go places then.” 10:09:51 AM 7/14/04 “I came in to work last December during a snowstorm that lasted a couple of days. We had already gotten 18" with another 8" or so predicted. The boss came by my office and asked me what I was doing there. He said he figured I would certainly have used a personal or vacation day to go skiing. He even said I could make up the time within a couple of weeks if I didn't want to burn the time. I used one the next day which turned out to be a banner sunny day of skiing. I work for a software company and a lot of people have either stayed in or come to this area for the quality of life and the recreational opportunities. Senior Management here realizes that and everyone takes time off to do what they enjoy doing.” 10:14:46 AM 7/14/04 “When I was in middle management I never denied workers the chance to just say, “Screw it! I’m not goin’ in today.”. those impromptu days are the best days off because it’s like a gift.” 10:19:12 AM 7/14/04 “I got a day off once when I told my boss that my (ex) wife was getting pregnant that afternoon and I wanted to be there when she did.” 11:36:45 AM 7/14/04 “Good morning. I'm off today. Let's see, what do I want to do? Hmmmmm, it's rush hour. Maybe I'll go for a ride in the car, drive slowly and stall at some traffic lights. Should be able to get some road rage started, if not an accdident or two. I'm still working at being a professional traffic backer-uper. Amateurs only appear out there on the weekends. Yea, I'm out of here. Talk with you later.” 6:47:35 AM 7/15/04 Jump to Page << prev
