Lol, smiley girl, you have just found out what reaching 30 and beyond is all about. Everything just starts to fall apart or break down. It starts with small personal appliances and works its way up to your personal physiology in 10 to 20 years. Didn't anyone warn you when you were still 29?

BTW, Happy Birthday!!!!

LOL! Gee, thanks for the good wishes, Pekka! There was even a fire alarm in the hotel we were having dinner in on the 4th. G claimed it was because they lit the candles on my birthday cake! What a schmuck! We were "stuck" in the hotel dining room for about 30 minutes, waiting for the all-clear. We just continued to drink while we were waiting, though! ;)

Happy Birthday Smiley Girl. You'll never be this young again, and it really is just a number. Don't ever buy into that numerical/aging crap...it's all attitude.

Beginning day 5 with my mother. Last night I had the knife poised over her sleeping head and at the last minute plunged it into the pillow. Yesterday she complained it was cold so I started a fire in the fireplace. Today it was colder so I started one before she got up. She complained I was wasting firewood. While doing dishes she complained my dish soap was no good because she couldn't blow bubbles with it. I've decided to stop at the dime store (we still have one) and buy her some bubbles. This afternoon I'm going to lock her outside with her damn bubbles and a six pack. Don't believe too much of the foregoing. We're having a good visit, but she sure as hell is a high maintainence mom.

Have a great day. Off to the Library for large print books...and a beer.

LOL, Snake! you crack me up w/ your mother!!!

I can just picture her trying to blow bubbles. Does she dip the beer bottle in the soap and blow the top off? Or did you actually get her a wand (bubble wand)

It was cold enuf for a fire here in montana over the weekend. BRRRR! what crappy weather we had. The sun is shining now but the forecast is for a crappy week. got clouds hanging all over me. I need some good jokes. Where's that cute joke thread.

Coffee and chocolate -- Gotta have it. On the trail, it's coffee singles and swiss miss: the swiss miss takes care of the sugar, chocolate and the creamer in one swell foop, <G>

And looky here.... I just remembered I had a link for some do-it-yourself coffee singles.
Fill them with your favorite brew, fresh-ground before you take off for the trailhead. (those Maxwell House things are pretty good, but they aren't exactly unblended Kona)

Sunburst Bottle Co.

100 for less than $5... and heat-sealable.
