When she was "shopping" for one I mentioned that an older cat might be better. But, she had to have a kitten and it ran her ragged. She is "cat co-dependent" and would literally crawl under the bed trying to find the cat's hidden toys so they could play together. When we were kids we joked that she would actually cook mice for the cats.
