clamming in Alaska
I went a four day trip to clam gulch to get some razor clams. It is on the kenai pen of alaska. After a 14 hour drive from Fairbanks I was tired the first day and with low tide at 9 am I had to get up early. Lucky I brought my G-friend with so that she should drive some of the way. One day after clamming we went to a town called Homer about 60 miles from where we were and hit every bar on the way back. If anyone wants to know where to drink if you go to the Area let me know. All in all we got about 50 razor clams and about 40 redneck clams. They are all good eating. Then we went to Anchorage for a day so that I could go to REI and my G-friend wanted some new ski boots. The REI in Anchorage sucks. They didn't have that much. I was very disappointed. But I did get a mountian hardwear windproof fleece. Then back up to Fairbanks where it was 30 and we still had alot of snow. It was a 1200 miles round trip and I found out that I don't like to drive that much. I think that I need to get a plane and fly around that would be much faster. The worst part of it all is that I have to work tonight. Anyone have any secrets on how to win the lottey so that I can just play and don't have to work.

By living in Alaska, sounds like you've already won the lottery. I'm jealous! :-)

Living in Alaska is awesome but it is expensive. I leave in September. I have no idea where i'm going yet(military). As long as it is not Texas I will be happy. No offence skull cap. Just to hot for my thick blood there.

Hey Kodiakman, long time no see.

Sounds like a typical AK adventure-gotta go back to work to get some rest.

Next time you are in Anchorage, check out Gary King”

I went there looking for ski boots and they were closed down it looked like. I found a cool ski shop in girdwood. I can't remember the name of the shop.

Uh, kodiakman, I don't live in Texas. Perchance you have me confused with someone else.

I must have. I have been up all night working midnights and my mind might be playing tricks on me.

kodiakman,

Yumm, razor clams! Homer is a nice little place, isn't it? Hard to believe they now have a McDonalds.

We took a short hop by plane from there over to Seldovia to spend a weekend at a friends cabin. Seldovia is another cool locale...only way to get there is by boat or plane. This time of year is great in AK with all the hours of daylight.

Yes I did go to the salty dog. You are not in homer if you don't stop there for a beer and a shot. I have a dollars up on the wall some place there. I think that I even have a t-shirt some place around my house.

you snooze, you loose.....LOL

hahahahahaha. There is only one thing better than the bearded clam on God's green earth, and that is the Muffin.

Have any of you caught on HBO "the Vigina monologues"? great show and provides tremendous insight into the psyche of women...I am enlightened, (even more than I already was). What women want...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Well, Stik, I don't ever think I'll figure out the psyche of women...not sure I'd want to. I kinda like 'em as the inscrutable force of nature they are.
