“LOL bp. Trent Jones was the teacher at a one room school (K-8)in Terlingua, TX in the early 70's. It gives his account of trying to maintain a school in such a remote area.

His efforts paid off though as they now have a K-12 school there and graduate about a dozen every year.”

“Just finished "The Fallen Man" by Tony Hillerman.

I like Hillerman's books...they always take place somewhere in the SouthWest US.

I'm currently reading "A Thief of Time" by Hillerman.

Also reading a very funny book called "Skipping Christmas" by John Grisham. A family decides to skip Christmas and runs into all kinds of trouble. Good stuff.”

Treebait- I think I've read almost every Dr.Seuss book aloud. I sometimes recite little phrases even now, my daughter is 20 :)

Lyra- I had Falling Up too, also another book of poetry for kids. I went to the bookshelf to share the title with you but the bookwasn't there ARGGH!!! (I knew that Silversteins one was missing but....) Hope I haven't lent it out, if so it would be a few years ago. I'll have to put a little notebook near my bookcase, like a loansheet(I do that with my videos now, I've just lost too many)”

“pepsi- have you seen "one flew over the cuckoos nest" with Jack Nicholson it's a great movie.
Our prison has a program where the inmates can put on a play and the public can go see it.(it's quite something what you have to go through to see it)A couple years back they put on that as their play. I enjoyed it even more than the movie, and being closing night they ad-libbed some, it was hilarious.”
