“Illini lost a tough one to MSU at home yesterday. With a win at Penn St on Thursday, finishing 2nd in the B10 is still possible. It would be nice to get matched up against a team that had to play a first round game of the B10 tournament.

Depending on what happens in the next couple weeks, I see Illinois getting anywhere from a 3 to a 7 seed in the tournament (really going out on a limb there).

A sweet 16 appearance isn't out of the question, but I would be happy with one win considering last year's debacle.

And I think Misery is way overrated. Illinois beat them soundly this year.”

PU, Illini and MSU are in. These three teams are also the top 3 in the big ten right now as well. The 4th team in line is Penn State which is kinda scary. Their RPI sucks though. If they get to the championship game of the Big 10 tournment, they get in.

Michigan may get in with quality wins over Duke and ranked 10 teams.

Wisconsin may squeek in, but I am guessing just the above teams get in.

Indiana is a real sad story this year.”

As far as Memphis goes, there are some around these parts who would love to see the Jayhawks meet the Tigers in the tournament this year. Maybe KU could be the #2 seed in the same bracket as #1 Memphis?

Anyway, the Missouri Tigers looked pretty good last night. From last year's final game and this one, I get the feeling that Memphis thinks they should get automatic respect and deference. They are a great basketball team, but they sometimes forget to prove it on the court.”
