Hmmm....
Looks like we have some amunition against the Fiddle Boy. I did notice the Oklahoma gaff, but I failed to notice the Mississippi mistake.
I say he might have to share his glorious throne, should he win, as unlikely as that is.
Every win today has gone Dunadan's way. Your worst nightmare is about to come true.

The tournament has been boring today. No upsets (and only two yesterday). So those of you claiming superior prognostication abilities, please hold the boasts until you do something impressive.

Hey, Dayhiker! How come you didn't tell us the Tide was going to win the whole damn tournament? You could have at least given a friend a hint. They are killing me, only adding 16 to my total.
Bowlder, sorry to see your team go down. I thought Stanford got sloppy midway through the second half and looked like they were getting a little over-confident. Big mistake. Bama has a big one up next.
Kansas vs Pacific. I hope the Jayhawks play a good game.

No doubt. Once is a fluke, twice is something to think about. I'd say Georgia Tech will give them all they want though.

I cannot believe Stanford got beat yesterday. I had Stanford in the final four.

I was saying to a co-worker on Friday that Alabama scares me. The are a far more althletic team than Stanford.

Damnit!

I will have to add up my points on Monday at work

I'm glad I didn't watch the game yesterday (had some other commitments). My initial reaction was, well I guess west coast basketball really does suck. However, I spoke to a couple of Stanford fans who said the officiating was kinda one-sided - I think 'Bama shot 44 FT's with SU only shooting 11 or something. I didn't see the game, so can't comment firsthand, so I don't really know.

The other weird thing that I got from the radio announcers was that the supposedly neutral court up in Seattle was anything but. Right from the start of the first game, Stanford was getting booed, and yesterday the fans were apparently getting really nasty toward the Cardinal. Didn't have an influence on the result, probably, but what the heck was that all about. The radio guys were saying the fans should be applauding a) a team beating the #1 ranked team; and b) a team that had won 30 games during the year; but all they could do was be a bunch of jerks. That has pretty much ended my interest in college basketball for this year. On to baseball!!

Ugh. I just got home from sitting on a bar stool for 5 hours of basketball watching. I think I have a blood clot in my leg.

Some great games though. Starting with Illinois' thorough dismantling of Cincinnati and finishing with UAB topping Kentucky. I hope the Illini saved something for Puke, they're going to need it.

Kentucky just got shocked by UAB. How is everybody's bracketts looking?

Well, I had Kentucky in the final four, but I'm not too concerned to see them lose. I'm in another contest where we draft teams and you get a point for each win. One of my teams is UAB. I also had Miss St in the FF, so that loss hurt.

Hubcap, I will be cheering on the Illini. Any team that can beat Duke is OK by me, no matter what it does to my bracket.
My thoughts go out to Stickman. That UAB team is full of scrappers. I sure hope Kansas can play them tough.
Vandy is now hurting my point total, too.
After the first weekend, my total adds up to 2,211.

What a weekend. Sorry Dunny, but I'll be pulling for the State of Alabama. Two teams from the UA system in the Sweet 16. I wonder if two teams from the same state have EVER made it to the Sweet 16 by both beating #1 seeds. Locally, people seem more excited about the UAB win. The Bama upset wasn't really a shocker, UAB was. There lots of talk of Auburn trying to get UAB's coach to fill their opening. Fat chance, it won't happen.

My thoughts go out to Stickman.

Thanks bro, but I had a semi-bad feeling about Kentucky, that's why I only had them going to the regionals, where Kansas would beat them. Unfortunately they didn't even make it that far.
Vandy really surprised me. I figured NC State would hand their ass to them. I'll not have anything left if the upsets continue, lol.
StickmanWalking

I had that feeling on Friday about Stanford.

Alabama is a tough team to count on. One day they look good enough to beat Duke, or as some of you call Puke, the next, they look like they could get beat up on by Indiana.

Even though they upsets have screwed parts of my bracket, it sure is fun to watch some of the big boys go down.
