Today's Listening Pleasure
I am listening to the Dead Kennedys at the moment. Prior to this I was listening to the Dead Boys.

I Actually Do Not Have A Death Theme Going
No, I am listening to Motorhead now. I have the Dead Milkmen that I could put on, but I didn't feel like mellow music at the moment.

Avenged Seven Fold has quickly become one of my favorite bands. I had thought they were just another vanilla nu metal band with little to offer but after a buddy slipped me a disk I found them to be more progressive than anything. Sprawling 7 minute songs with such a varied style of music. I downloaded the new CD and found it to be good but as it turns out it's one of those CDs that the more I listen to it the deeper it gets.

Some of the mtn. biking videos HPM watches feature music by a group called "Phoenix." Yep, they're a titch addictive.

Black Mountain
I've been way into these guys lately. Plus, their guy singer looks like the Dude from "The Big Lebowski"... which is instant win.

The friggin' woman in the office next to me has 6548 ring tones. That's the music I hear all day long - her damn phone ringing.

The worst one is the kid from Family Guy going "MOMMA! MOMMY! MOMMY! MOMMA! MOMMA! MOMMA!"

Ughghhhh... sorry ... I probably should report to the Annoying Coworker Thread.

Lol...

Right now I'm listening to Laurel get really frustrated with violin practice. She's crying, because she hasn't practiced enough and a song she likes to play sounds in her words "terrible." I re-tuned the violin for her, but I don't know how much it helped. What really ticked her off was I went and played her song, pretty well in fact. :P

Got on a Bob Seger kick recently. He recorded a huge pile of crap after Live Bullet. Nobody ever had a voice like his though.

Well, last night I was listening to David Allan Coe's Three Biggest Lies in the World.

Somehow, I don't think that would be too wise at work.

Gah, shuffle has gone between Allison Krauss, Operation Ivy and Johnny Cash for a while now. Rather jarring combo at times.

I love bagpipe season. The church that sponsors our gs troop also has a very competitive bagpipe/ drum corps. The highland games are next weekend and from the sound of it they're ready.

Anyone heard the new Foo Fighters album that came out yesterday ('Wasting Light')? It's probably one of their BEST.

You can listen to it on their website for free if you want a taste.
