A few snakes are a stir here down my way already, but they are still slow and mostly just trying to get some sun. The critter you have to be wary of here just now is skunks. I don't know if other places have skunk season, but every year here is the same. As soon as it warms up, they get frisky, and cavort about everywhere. You can tell it is that time of year again when you start seeing (and smelling) their carcasses every couple of miles along the road. I don't know why there are always so many getting hit in early spring unless girl skunks have started evaluating their mates by their prowess bull fighting cars, but whatever is going on, they need to find a new hobby.

The height of Skunk season was a few weeks ago here, Cheesy. One of the local car washes offered an undercarriage scrub special because of a particularly large, smelly male that piffed it right up the road from their business.

I found 2 small snakes and 3 frogs yesterday, while prepping a few things for last nights' freeze. It was 23 degrees a little while ago.
