Wild Oats Market “Wild Oats Market Anyone use these folks? I talked to them yesterday, because they are gonna help with my challenge cookoff.. Looks like a really nice website (and products) to use some.” 8:47:56 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “Denver has several Wild Oats. I love them!” 9:15:52 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “They have a store in Memphis. Great products, but costly.” 9:33:07 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “I was mainly look at the bulk items.. thinking they might make a good BPing source... ?” 9:34:30 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “Absolutely, TD. They are an excellent source. They are off of Poplar, near Clark Tower.” 9:38:08 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “A little info. on Wild Oats. I helped build a couple of them around the Bay Area. They have a lot of money behind them, and establish some nice facilities. However, they have had some highly predatory practices. They moved into my town and tried to shut down the local, (and much loved), natural foods store. This has been the only town to date where they have had to close their store, as far as I know.” 9:59:53 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “hehe.. the WALMART of the health foods market?” 10:04:45 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “Dawg; I think there is one here in Nashville too. I'll drop in and see what's up.” 10:48:46 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “I've not heard of these stores in my area. What part of KS do you live in, Dunadan? Did you use to live in the Bay area, and then move to KS?” 10:49:31 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “Don't they offer sewing leasons also?” 11:11:21 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “dammit nige! you joke stealer!” 11:12:49 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “MtnMan: ya.. talked to them yesterday.. the owner sounds nice on the phone.” 11:17:00 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “I can't believe it took that long for someone to jump all over that one Rad! Must be a slow morning. 8)” 11:24:06 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “Dunadan -- Same happened here. The established beloved earthy crunchy market went under very quickly after wild oats came in. They are within 2-3 miles of each other.” 11:34:30 AM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “Yes, Lyndy, I was in CA for 9 years, and decided to get back, get back, get back to where I once belonged. It was amazing to see the people of Lawrence rally around their local business. We have quite a few politically active people in this town. Wild Oats was very surprised. Other businesses have had to think about their marketing strategies before moving here.” 5:56:24 PM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “I love shopping in the organic grocery store. I picked up some more soynuts and Oat Bars (toot, toot)” 8:25:44 PM 11/06/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “they bought out several of the competition when they moved into the central ohio market....” 9:34:51 AM 11/07/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “Oops, not the thread I thought it was going to be.” 9:44:54 AM 11/07/01 RE: Wild Oats Market “Speaking of sowing one's wild oats... Let me tell ya about last night: So there I was, driving down Key Street...” 9:54:25 AM 11/07/01
