Good luck with that, Chili. ;)

Out-laws coming in to town, and a koi club meeting. Last meeting before the pond tour, which HPM is heading up, so we can't ditch it. Might make time to go to a local state park or something, maybe the gorge, and do a little hiking.

Going to the Dragon*Con Parade(to see the 501st march), and then walking 3 blocks over to ESPN Gameday to try to get on TV and hopefully call Corso a boob to his face!!

I can't go out of town, we are confined to within < 2hours from the hospital.

LOL@ Opie. I used to go to DragonCon back in the day. Is that the stormtrooper parade?

Well jeeze, it took me a while to get all packed up last night. RUSTY! And then there's the obligatory sort through everything, resupply, etc. Everything's just in a pile waiting to get thrown in the pack. Five hours and counting. Gonna miss the fam but NEED TO GET OUTSIDE...

Hey, looks like I just got an invitation for a day hike. Maybe, if the weather stayes fine, even a bag night in the mountains. I don't think it is 100% sure yet, but....keep fingers crossed.

TT'ers VOTE!!!

Michelle is letting me out this weekend, taking the dog, want to relax. Here are my options.

1. Standing Indian Mountain Loop (good views, probably a lot of pple)

2. Kilmer/Slickrock (hangover lead area) (Never been there, no idea about anything)

3. Cohutta Wilderness (short drive, not as many views, easy hike, probably won't see a soul)

I hope to sleep in (impossible with new baby), smoke cigars, and drink a big flask of the new Makers Mark 46

Opie, several years ago, i hiked up Hangover Lead trail in the Joyce Kilmer area. camped just below the summit ledge. It's a great trip for an overnighter. the trail is indistinct (it was at least) in places, but the campsite was superb - and i was all alone. There's a nice spring just over the top of the ridge (on the TN side) that was maybe half a mile (maybe less) from the campsite. The campsite is up just below the overlook. On a clear day you can see a loooooong way from up there. I did a clockwise loop.

This weekend, i'm hoping to get a little climbing in (it's almost winter), but it's sposed to be a might damp here. I will bottle my batch of Smoked Porter that I brewed on 9/25 - can't wait for that to be ready - it's gonna be goooooooood.

May work on the fence some more and perhaps finish that project up!

I'd like to hike up to Emerald Lake to see how the cirque looks with a little snow on it too.

not sure... we'll go to the rescue and see what they're adopting. Probably some sort of smallish mutt. The one we've got now is a beagle/daschund/whothehellknows mix that they found wandering the streets at 1 month old...
