“Hey....just back from snowboarding. It was good. I enjoyed myself being out there. Not that I am a really great snowboarder, but it was just fun. I needed that. Particulare since I had been doing so miserable with the telemark skis on the Teton trip. At least I can snowboard, and after today I have no doubt that I am still doing good on alpine skis. Screw telemarks, I say.

The hyway clan is going to Myrtle beach to stay in a 4 bedroom deluxe ocean front motel suite. Downstairs is an inside waterpark with slides, lazy river, kids pools, etc. So no matter the weather, we will be having fun. If the sun is out I may be able to talk my girls into a polar bear dip into the ocean. We do this every February for my wife's birthday. the last few years her sister (& family) and her brothers have joined us, so we had to move up to the large suites.

Myrtle Beach is so much better in the winter. I'll be leaving here in 2 hours to get the kids out of school, pick up the wife from work, then drive to Myrtle and pick up my Bro-in-law from the airport. We plan to see the Coraline movie this afternoon, then teh rest of teh day in teh pools.”

“The beach in winter is great. It is peaceful. I have been to several beaches in the fall/winter and it is a nice time to recharge and relax.”
