very simple hike around the back of the 2nd largest rock dome in the u.s.; easy but fun for the novice backpacker/dayhiker, lots of cool climbing possibilities. VERY hot during summer, but also very mild winter (most of texas only has 2 seasons: summer-HOT and "notsummer"-notsohot... good if you're in the area, but i wouldn't travel from another state for this hike
