Description
Starting at Scotts Run Lake in French Creek State Park follow the trail past South Bridsboro Rod & Gun Club to Geigertown and then on to Plowville on Route 10 north of Morgantown. Passes through woods and over hills of Berks County heading west to Maple Grove.

Directions to Hike
From Philadelphia head west on I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) to Valley Forge. Take the exit for Route 202 North and the PA Turnpike. Take the PA Turnpike West (I-76) to exit 22 for Morgantown. Head north on Route 10 to Plowville. Parking on right opposite school buses. To trailhead at Scotts Run Lake: Follow Route 10 south to Route 23 and head east to Route 345. Turn left and head north toward the south entrance to French Creek State Park. Pass the south entrance on left and continue on to the north entrance. Turn left and look for Scotts Run Road on right. Follow to the access road by the Group Camping Area. Take the access road to the dam and the boating area. Park your car here. Trailhead begins at the corner of the parking lot and heads up the hill toward the fire tower.
