Description
This weekend hike is at the heart of The Wichita Wildlife Refuge. An easy hike with little elevation gain, the chances of coming across buffalo, elk, longhorn and deer are excellent. Water can be a problem so pack enough for a couple of days. The topography is a wonderful combination of prairie, mountain and desert.

Directions to Hike
SW of Oklahoma City one and a half hours on I-44, 8 miles west to the refuge. Check in at the Ranger Station. Reservations are required and not taken longer than one month from date of use.
