Description
Very nice hike, we just did it today (10/18/03) and took an 8 year old and a six year old on the trail. The water was flowing in the falls and the hike was perfect for the kids. If you are looking for a short family hike this is a good option.

Directions to Hike
To get to the Mary Jane Falls trailhead of the Spring Mountains National Recreation area, take Route 95 northwest out of Las Vegas until you reach the intersection of State Route 157. Proceed west on Route 157 for about 20 minutes while you watch the scenery change from desert scrub to mountain forest. Proceed all the way to the end of the road and park at the trailhead. Note: the trail is normally impeded by snow through May.
