Description
The hike starts out at 3,200 feet and follows Kelly Creek on a good, moderatly hilly trail for about 9 miles with a 630 feet elevation gain to Hanson Meadows. There are some horse camps on the way. If you don't want to go the whole nine miles there is a place to stay at 3 miles and 7 miles into the hike which are great places to stay. This is a beautiful hike along a creek that is more like a river than anything. This trail is well maintained and is worth the long drive.

Directions to Hike
From Pierce, Idaho turn on to road# 255 there will be a sign that says to Kelly Creek. Follow this road to Deception Saddle, continuing on road no.255 south down Independence Creek and Moose Creek to the junction with road no.581 at Kelly Creek. The trailhead is just left of the junction.
