Description
Beautiful trails around a small lake, with several other loops. Easy hiking with excellent look at SE Iowa country. Iowa State Park site has map, close but trail is easy and goes all the way around. I do it year around, plan on 5 hrs to go around, add an hour for additional loops.

Directions to Hike
I like to drive past the campgrounds to the prairie area (to park). The trail is marked close by and will lead you to signs all around the park.

Lake Darling State Park is located SW of Washington on highway 1.
