Lost Valley
One of the most beautiful and easily accessible hikes in Arkansas. This trail is best seen if you hike up the creekbed rather than staying on the trail. At about 1/2 mile is a good time to leave the trail and start hiking up the creekbed. The highpoints of this trail are the Natural Bridge, Cobb Cave, Eden Falls, and Eden Falls Cave. The Natural Bridge has a great waterfall coming out of it with a swimming hole below. The water is emarald green, typical of waters found in AR, and the area is surrounded by jigsaw boulders. You can and should crawl up beside the waterfall and under the bridge. Cobb Cave is a hollow below a massive cliff. If you go during winter or spring there is usually a tickling waterfall coming off the cliff. Native Americans used to camp out here. Firepits and corn cobb remains have been found here, hence the name. Eden Falls is about 40 feet tall and comes out of Eden Falls Cave. Be careful at the opening of the cave, it can be slippery and it's a long ways down. If you brought your flashlight, you can crawl back into the cave. It opens up into a cavern with a 30 foot waterfall coming from the ceiling at the end. It's not very far back. There's two ways to get there. The obvious way is to go straight ahead, but you will have to crawl most of the way and probably get wet. The other way is a passage which opens up to the right near the entrance of the cave. The passage stays about 2-3 feet wide and there is only one place where you will briefly have to duck down and crawl. I prefer to go this way
