Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Forest, Michiganby pitts Two-day day hiking trip in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Forest. These were shot on the 2nd day at the Presque Isle area near a trail-head for the Lake Superior trail. This area is know for it's three waterfalls: Manabezho, Manido, and Nawadaha falls. These pictures are for Manabezho and Manido. There are no photos of Nawadaha falls but I may add some shortly.
The Ranger Station is at the western edge of South Boundry Road before it makes an immediate turn to the south. Vehicle permits are required and out of state daily permits are $8/day when I was there. Be sure to check out the other album of photos from the Escarpment Tail in the Porcupine Mountain Winderness State Forest. This is a really popular but really great area.
